I like these a lot more than my other attempt with this yarn. The smaller stitch count and lace pattern do a great job of obscuring the color-striping.

side view of 1930's Delta scroll saw 1200 with vs. this is what it looked like when I got this machine.
A scroll describing an event with Daigoro from Lone Wolf and Cub on it. My Japanese isn't what it used to, so forget about me translating it. This was on eBay a few months ago, and went for an insanely high price, for obvious reasons.
The designs on the scroll are wonderful from every point of view. This is a work of art that most mature artists would be happy with its freedom and daring to call their own.
All set up and shot further back so you can get a sense of the scrolls in their space. I am so glad I made them as large as I did, they suit the space and have massive impact. I also received anecdotal confirmation that the visual pun worked for a native Chinese speaker/reader, which made my day!
Scrolls of papyrus paintings at the Papyrus Institute in Cairo. This place sells all sorts of paintings with Egyptian figures. Make sure you learn how to bargain!

As-yet unlabelled exhibit in the early Chinese gallery. Taken at the official, invitation-only, re-opening of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. They were really, really only just barely ready to re-open: some of the cases had exhibits but no labels, and some labels but no exhibits; but the space itself is beautiful, with much more on display, and much better displayed than before.
Once the ring was removed, I was able to see the two snaps that help to keep the mouse's bottom casing in place. (The right snap is what you see in the image.) The snaps were oriented at 10:00 o'clock and 2:00 o'clock. I inserted a small screwdriver into both openings and gently pushed in on the snap. (The image shows the right snap after having freed it.)
The 13th scroll in my Alphabet Challenge: M is for Maiden, who's favor we wish to earn.

Very old, very beautiful Angel headstone with a scroll in her hand that contains a old Kings James Bible Verse on it which reads: In thy presence is fulness of joy. At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. ~Psalm 16:11 ((Cedar Grove Cemetery))
