The belly band is used to keep the scroll together and stop it from unrolling when un-used. The use of Chinese newspaper and the earthy textured green paper establishes the influence of Chinese culture.
Scroll of Fire is a monument found in the Jerusalem hills, and it commemorates Jewish history from The Holocaust until Independence. The monument was inaugurated in 1971.
The initiative for the monument came from B'nai B'rith of the United States, and was funded by them. The monument was sculptured by the artist Nathan Rapoport, who is a Holocaust survivor.
One of the scrolls describes the Holocaust and the other describes independence. In the space between the two scrolls, there are two rooms of memorial, and in each one is engraved a quote from the bible.
More detail from the scrolls the woman had made of saris and paper, and was selling at the festival.

Fuli is A quiet town, 8 kilometers (5miles) east of Yangshuo County. It takes 20 minutes to drive from Yangshuo, Fuli has a history of 800 years. Fuli is also great for purchasing scroll paintings and Chinese fans. The fans are made here and you can observe how they are made.
Im assuming this is a promotion piece. I can't find any reference to this having any other styles, but other colors seem to exist.

Lady Morighane has worked diligently and quietly to serve and support the Barony of Rising Waters. Serving at gate, list table, in the kitchen, the arts and many activities too numerous to recount. Green scroll that I found with the Gold Magic Cradle and lid for $9. I didn't know the Magic Cradle came in chrome and gold, did it only come in Gold with this casserole?

I like how these turned out. It was originally going to be all one color but I messed up the toe on the first sock and had to pull it out. Instead of redoing it in the same color I decided to use some leftover yarn for the toe. It's my first two toned socks.
I also didn't follow the directions quite right on the cuff too but it ended up turning out fine. I think I will try this cuff pattern on a different pair of socks to see how it was supposed to look.
Features bamboo accents, masked and stamped panel - poppy image is a clear rubber stamp I designed (I have a couple available for purchase) with pencil and ink pen coloring. Brass coin charm and gold leafing pen complete the look of a traditional Japanese scroll. All on sturdy board, atc will fit in a standard sleeve but is pretty enough to frame and hang.
