I'll remove the guild lines once the ink has had a few hours to fully dry.

Words by myself:
Let all those who shall see or hear these present letters know that Sadira bint Wassouf, otherwise called Baroness of Thescorre, send greeting and all humble recommendation. Equity requires and reason ordains that men and women virtuous and possessing of the noble skill of archery be rewarded for their merits and skills by renown and recognition. And therefore I, who not only by common renown but also by the report and testimony of other nobles worthy of credence, am truly advertised and informed that {INSERT NAME HERE} has exceeded and out-shot all others upon the archery range on this day. In witness whereof I, the Baroness of Thescorre above named, have signed this warrant with my hands and sealed with my seal and given the 27th day of June in the fiftieth year of our Society at Pax Interruptus XXXIX and my Investiture.

(Hanging figure: Heian period, 12th c., Bronze; Sutra Case: Kamakura period, 13th c., Bronze)
The practice of burying Buddhist texts in sutra mounds - to preserve the sacred writings for the future - began in the 11th century. The faithful took special precautions to ensure that the paper scrolls would remain in good condition for posterity; first a scroll was placed in a sutra case like this example, which in turn was enclosed in layers of bronze and topped with a peaked roof, forming a small pagoda.
It is thought that some sutra cases were sealed in urns together with cremated remains, as some have been found covered with ash, which gives the bronze surface a beautiful green patina.
This image of Zao Gongen, a divinity of Esoteric Buddhism, revered by mountain ascetics, was probably unearthed from a sutra mound. Typically shown with an angry expression, this Zao Gongen actually has a smiling, childlike face. Although he personifies the fearsome side of the natural world - wielding a ritual kosho (thunderbolt wand) and stamping his left foot on the ground - sometimes Zao Gongen can be friendly, too.

My mother would have walked past this as a young bride in 1960 - I wonder if she noticed it?!
A beautiful set of jewelry made from sterling silver, swarovski crystals and handmade lampwork beads created by me.
The lampwork beads have been made with a base of transparent purple glass that has been decorated with melted in scrolls made from Double Helix's Nyx glass. Lastly, they are reduced to bring out a green oilslick finish.
After annealing and cleaning, I wrapped the lampwork beads using sterling silver wire and embellished them with matching swarovski bicones.
Christmas season is coming up, these would make a fabulous gift for anyone who loves jewelry.
The theme is "spiral." I'm trying to decide if I should enter this photo or the other one.
Any votes?
(I may lighten this one in photoshop a bit.)

Scroll Sawing is the operation of freehand cutting of wood with thin blades giving them finest tiny decorations.
Pictures taken for putting it on eBay, but might as well stick 'em here too, and maybe get around to putting this in the PigPog museum sometime.
Way to turn a scrap piece of 1/2 inch plywood into a gem! Nice detail, Burnt finish with lemon oil. Not For Sale
We have seen, sharp-eyed, one who gathers as little wealth as the hawks for what she gains, she gives away. Bushra al Jazerii bint el Nahr, like the clouds, poured forth her gift on the desert of Avacal till it blossomed. Spreading out all the rich clothes from her trunks, the eye can scarcely realize its beauty. When gazing at one part, the eye is drawn away by the perfection of another part until one must sit down with companions and watch the lightning and the coming storm that is this great artisan. Swift of hand, full of life, fire boils within her like the snorting of an Arabian; she is the torrent that grinds the rock to smooth stone. Therefore We, Wernar Ivarsson, King and Sadb Jófreysdóttir, Queen, hereby elevate, Bushra al Jazerii bint el Nahr to the Order of the Laurel, and affirm by these Letters Patent her privilege of displaying above her shield, Vert a scimitar and in chief three hawk's bells Or, a crest of a Laurel Wreath Vert. Done this ___th day of _____ Anno Societatis, 57. Based on the Mongol Shahnama probably done at Tabriz, c. 1335. Words by Adis Ulfsdottir scroll by Althea Tambourri

These are the blades I needed to cut out the ship. I have been wrestling with the flu and my youngest has it bad so I was hoping could still get the ship cut out and glued.

Words are by myself:
In the name of Magnus Tindal and Etain, basileos kai basilissa of AEthelemearc, peace be upon all who hears or sees these words. Wherefore let the generality of the present as well as the future subjects of Our Kingdom know a competition was held, between the finest throwers of our lands. Many axes, knives and spears where thrown but one did prevail against all others. We do confirm, therefore, this lawful promotion of {INSERT NAME HERE} to be the Thrown Weapons Champion of the Sylvan Kingdom of AEthelmearc and to Ourselves. And wishing this to remain valid unto all posterity, We forbid by edict that any one, with rash daring, infringe it, or in any way, attempt to violate it, and We validly corroborate this Our decree by the present privilege, signed by our hands, the witnesses being all who were in attendance at Hunter's Moon, the 3rd of October, AS 50.
