The roof of the dead sea scroll museum in Jerusalem, Israel. It's shaped like the lid of the pots that the scrolls were found in. Water is sprayed over it from jets around the edge which helps to keep it cool inside. The museum itself is underground and the roof part you see is at ground level.

Last Saturday I took the "head sea scroll" with Michael DeMeng at The Stamp Act in Marshfield. So much fun!!
The scroll was made with old fabric from the thrift store, clipart images, old dictionary pages, my photos from the aquarium, netting, paint, and mica (gathered by me in Maine).
Spiral scroll designs using custom shapes from graphicxtras.com. Vector designs added to a raster image in a combination of colors and designs.
