oltre quel luogo, dopo quel preciso momento, ci sono diverse realtà possibili, e noi dobbiamo avere la serenità e la pazienza di saper aspettare. dobbiamo avere la saggezza di saperci adattare ad un cambiamento che non possiamo scegliere.

LA SAGGEZZA DEL NONNO

I nonni di oggi hanno un ruolo centrale nella vita dei nipoti, molto più che in passato. Anche se per la prima volta nella storia apprendono anche dai giovani, sul fronte tecnologico

Accudiscono i nipoti mentre i genitori lavorano, li accompagnano a scuola o alle attività extra-scolastiche, li seguono nei compiti, giocano con loro: i nonni oggi sono molto presenti nella vita quotidiana di bambini e ragazzi e svolgono un ruolo centrale nell’organizzazione e gestione familiare, oltre a costituire un punto di riferimento affettivo.

Non è sempre stato così.

In passato l’elevata mortalità in età anziana e l’alto numero di nascite, e quindi di nipoti, limitava la possibilità di un rapporto diretto tra nonni e nipoti. Oggi l’aspettativa di vita e le condizioni di salute in età anziana sono nettamente migliorate e i nonni possono godere della frequentazione dei nipoti per un lungo arco di tempo.
