I had read the Diary as a child. This transposition as a graphic novel gave me the opportunity to reread it. I believe that Ari Folman, screenwriter, and David Polonsky, illustrator, did an excellent job and honored Anne's memory and the wishes of her father Otto who founded the Anne Frank Fonds in Basel after the war.

"At this point I would like, on my part and David Polonsky's, to ask for forgiveness if we had wronged the original diary by interpreting it too much", writes Ari Folman in the final note. In my opinion, I repeat, no wrong has been done and the younger generations who read this illustrated transposition will be able to get to know Anne and continue to spread the message of peace, goodness and beauty that Anne entrusted to her Kitty, her diary of 'Secret Accommodation.

The message of a barely adolescent girl, towards the world of adults who have lost all wisdom (and still continue to wage war, arm themselves, destroy life).

Avevo letto il Diario da bambina/ragazzina. Questa trasposizione come graphic novel mi ha dato l'occasione di rileggerlo. Credo che Ari Folman, sceneggiatore, e David Polonsky, illustratore, abbiano fatto un lavoro egregio e reso onore alla memoria di Anne e alle volontà del padre Otto che ha fondato dopo la guerra l'Anne Frank Fonds a Basilea.

"A questo punto vorrei, da parte mia e di David Polonsky, chiedere perdono qualora avessimo fatto un torto al diario originale interpretandolo con troppa partecipazione", scrive Ari Folman nella nota finale. Secondo me, ripeto, non è stato fatto nessun torto e le generazioni più giovani che dovessero leggere questa trasposizione illustrata potranno conoscere Anne e continuare a diffondere il messaggio di pace, di bontà, di bellezza che Anne affidava alla sua Kitty, il suo diario dell'Alloggio Segreto.

Il messaggio di una bambina appena adolescente, verso il mondo degli adulti che hanno perso ogni saggezza (e continuano ancora a fare la guerra, ad armarsi, a distruggere la vita).

On June 2nd, Cristina Mittermeier’s exhibition “La Grande Saggezza” at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Palermo ended.

An extraordinary photographer, Mittermeier mainly deals with nature photography, with her shots she denounces the drama in which our planet finds itself.

I was particularly struck by her shots and by the beauty of the meaning that the people we consider “savages” give to the protection of the environment that surrounds them. Mittermeier explains to us that the “Great Wisdom” lies in the choice by these people to use the products of the earth for what they need to live, nothing more, nothing less. Then leaving the rest to nature, so that it can regenerate without effort.

I continue to ask myself what my generation failed at to arrive at massacring nature and our beloved Earth in this way, to the point of destroying it as we are doing.

I really hope that this video, which lasts just under 5 minutes, will lead you to reflect on the future of our children and that you will enjoy it.

中國新年 2015 La Danza del drago (cinese semplificato: 舞龙; cinese tradizionale: 舞龍; pinyin: wǔ lóng) è una danza tradizionale cinese eseguita, insieme alla Danza del leone, soprattutto durante le celebrazioni di alcune festività. Diversi cinesi di etnia Han usano il termine discendenti del drago (龍的傳人 o 龙的传人, lóng de chuán rén) come simbolo di identità etnica, da una moda che ha avuto inizio negli anni settanta.

Durante la danza, un gruppo di persone porta il corpo del drago, rappresentazione del tradizionale drago cinese, su delle aste. Il corpo del drago può arrivare ad essere portato da 50 persone, che imitano i movimenti dello spirito delle acque in una maniera sinuosa ed ondulata. I movimenti dell'esibizione della danza sono tradizionalmente simbolo del ruolo storico del drago, che impersona la forza e la dignità. La danza del drago è tipica delle celebrazioni del Capodanno cinese, oltre che in Cina, anche nelle Chinatown di tutto il mondo.

Secondo la tradizione, i draghi sono portatori di buona sorte, riflesso delle loro qualità principali, oltre che di forza e dignità, anche di fertilità, saggezza e di fasto. L'apparizione di un drago è spaventosa e sfrontata, ma allo stesso tempo di disposizione benevola, qualità antitetiche che hanno portato l'animale fantastico ad essere associato all'autorità imperiale.

... da subito questa foto dei laghi dei Piani (realizzata con l'unione di 6 scatti effettuati alle spalle del rifugio Locatelli) ha richiamato alla mia mente un pezzo dei Genesis che ho amato tantissimo ... e, con questo brano, il mito della Ninfa Salmacis e di Ermafrodito, rielaborato da Ovidio ...

Ovid's account relates that Hermaphroditus was nursed by naiads in the caves of Mount Ida a sacred mountain in Phrygia (present day Turkey). At the age of fifteen, he grew bored with his surroundings and traveled to the cities of Lycia andCaria. It was in the woods of Caria, near Halicarnassus (modern Bodrum, Turkey) that he encountered the nymph, Salmacis, in her pool. She was overcome by lust for the boy, who was very handsome but still young, and tried to seduce him, but was rejected. When he thought her to be gone, Hermaphroditus undressed and entered the waters of the empty pool. Salmacis sprang out from behind a tree and jumped into the pool. She wrapped herself around the boy, forcibly kissing him and touching his breast. While he struggled, she called out to the gods that they should never part. Her wish was granted, and their bodies blended into one form, "a creature of both sexes". Hermaphroditus prayed to Hermes and Aphrodite that anyone else who bathed in the pool would be similarly transformed, and his wish was granted.

Ermafrodito (in greco antico: Ἑρμαφρόδιτος), era il figlio nato dalla relazione segreta tra Ermes e Afrodite.

Il giovane, da neonato, era stato allattato dalle Naiadi nelle grotte del Monte Ida, una montagna sacra situata nella regione della Frigia, in Asia Minore.

All'età di quindici anni cominciò la sua esplorazione del mondo e fu proprio nel corso di essa che arrivò in Caria, sulle rive di un grande lago.

Qui, in un boschetto, nei pressi di Alicarnasso, lo vide la giovane ninfa Salmacis la quale si innamorò perdutamente di lui.

In preda alla passione Salmacis cercò di sedurre il giovanetto, ma da questi fu respinta.

Salmacis allora si nascose e quando Ermafrodito si spogliò ed entrò nelle acque del lago per dissetarsi si gettò su di lui, abbracciandolo.

Mentre il giovane si dibatteva, lei chiese agli dei di potersi unire per sempre al suo amato e di non esserne mai separata.

Il suo desiderio venne accolto e i due divennero un essere solo, i loro corpi si fusero in una singolare creatura di entrambi i sessi, metà maschio e metà femmina.

Ermafrodito, prima di sparire sul fondo del lago, maledisse Salmacis, chiedendo, per coloro che si fossero bagnati nelle acque del lago, il suo stesso destino.
