Bike ride in Black Diamond Mines Regional Park, formerly a very busy coal mine and town, now ghost town with interpretive center and just plain nice place to hang around and stare up at the big California sky and down at frogs, snakes, grasses, and broken trails
Misrah Ghar il-Kbir is a prehistoric site in Siġġiewi, Malta, near the Dingli Cliffs. It is best known for its "cart ruts" - a complex network of tracks gouged in the rock. The age and purpose of the tracks is uncertatin. In general, most archeologists presume that the site developed about 2000 BC after new settlers came over from Sicily to start the Bronze Age in Malta.
I spent a couple hours in the blind today and was unable to photograph the many deer I saw due to them being to far away. I decided to not put my camera in my bag as I usually do when I walk out of the timber. I was almost to the 4-wheeler when I looked up and saw this spike buck making his way up the trail. I froze and raised up my camera, he was more curious than scared and kept walking towards me. I was losing light so I was only able to get 2 decent shots.
