Windlass Hill in Ash Hollow State Park in Lewelyn, Nebraska. Wagon ruts left 150 years ago by pioneers following the Oregon Trail. Or by a John Deere tractor last year for interpretive center impact.
I'm working on my night shooting and was taking photos of the house across the street when the owner pulled in. Well them folks are real spooky and I'm now waiting for a knock on the door and a shotgun shoved in my face... Maybe they did not see me.. =o)

I ran into the big 7 pt who had 4 does neatly stashed in the brush up on top of the hill. He had two scouts who would block my approach so we played cat and mouse for an hour and a half. During that time 14 other bucks came in to try their luck at cutting a doe from his harem. This guy succeeded and I caught up to him about 200 yards away from the big 7pt on the other side of the ridge. 10/14/2009
