The most humble old dog in the world, Rusty. He did a fine job today posing for some Christmas photos.
The Rusties were everywhere this morning. Too bad none of them were willing to give me an unobstructed shot.

While Rusty was playing with one of his favorite blankets it caused static hair making him look like the flying nun (and yes I know that reference dates me).

I was photographing yellow-rumped warblers a few days ago when I noticed a solitary rusty blackbird sitting on a branch near them. I thought it was a bit odd... a rusty blackbird at this time of year, sharing a branch with tiny warblers. WIldwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Rusty -Recovery Day 6. I bought him a harness, so he was able to go for a walk w/Emory and I was surprised at how well he did.
Mo & Jo got new accommodations today and they are happy little mice. They truly don't seem to mind the cats peering in at them. Oh---I found out that they're both females.
More below.
The Rusty Rockets entry, at the 3rd Annual Nevada City Soapbox Derby, gaining speed as it travels down the course. This soapbox car was made from an old aviation fuel tank that hung from the wing of an aircraft. The Rusty Rockets performed quite well with a top speed of 44 mph.
More rusty words on the hitch for the old trailer we use to pick up scrap to take in, raising funds for animals in need.

Saw this boat in dry dock on Ramsgate harbour yesterday they had covered her name up but just left the number FR1?? so I think it is a trawler, possibly registered in Scotland.
She is well supported by scaffolding so it looks like some serious work needed.
As there is a slight bit of pink (well sort of) under the scaffold couldn't resist this old tune!

A recent Sunday afternoon explore of Rusty & Crusty in Motown. All behind a rusty fence in -

Finally visited the old rusty Cadillac west of Rochelle Illinois on my way to see the bald eagles in Iowa. It has this special quality that draws you in. No one was there and it was just sitting there peacefully under the winter sun. I parked my car very carefully not to get too close to this iconic vehicle in the middle of nowhere. This was almost a pilgrimage and I wasn't disappointed. Even though it was a little rusty but she was totally together, ready for my admiration. It was a pleasant experience, that is, until I found out my old boots fell apart right at the spot. I found a Wal-Mart just before getting back on I-88 and got myself a pair of steel toes. The rest of the day was quite cool watching the bald eagles and photographers with 800mm tele's complaining about how boring it was to always get sharp pictures of the bird with their rapid firing 1Dx's.
I saw this at Newtown Harbour, Isle of Wight and loved the colours and textures. This old piece of equipment was once used for lifting stuff from the boats that were moored here.
