I haven't been taking many pics of the cats since Echo arrived--'been too busy and mostly taking pics of Echo. This was taken a few days ago when out front with Echo and Rusty was watching us nearby. He's tolerating Echo better now but I wouldn't call them best friends.
Echo's is 3 months old today.
Terrible about the shootings/ deaths today in Washington DC.
Got lots going on here at home today--new garage door installed and contractors working on our back deck...it's a bit chaotic.
This garden shed is on a disused railway track, now a public walking trail, about a kilometre from our back door.
I like the fact that the metal roofing and siding have produced a gorgeous rusty curtain over much of the shed. It's probably made of all reused materials, and I admire that too.
Sixteen-years-expired film (Fuji 400, expired 2006) shot two weeks ago in my Rollei 35TE.

The Rusty-margined Flycatcher is very similar to the Social Flycatcher (see adjacent photo) but has rufous-edged primaries as seen in this image. Like its relative, it takes both insects and berries.
This is his first "studio" shot. He wasn't too sure about the big umbrellas and bright flash. But with time, he will get comfortable with all.
[I boosted the color on this....I hope it's not overdone?]
I don't know what all the fuss is about with the arrival of that obnoxious puppy that has invaded my domain. She can't go potty on her own and she waddles around with those clumsy paws. I like to intimidate her with my big growl --I am not a happy camper. And I'm here to remind everyone that I'm still the Flickr Star and I still rule the roost.
Rusty.

Looking close... on Friday! theme: rust
Last weekend was our Thanksgiving long weekend here in Canada and we had such beautiful weather so we made sure we took advantage of it and got out for a hike along the trails. The fall colours were at their prettiest as you can see the coloured leaves in the background and on the ground. This rusty chain blocked off a small section river beside the trail.
Have a great weekend!
