Rust Is Not A Crime

This gall is very common on nettles, and can appear on the stem, leaf stalk, leaf, or the (very small and inconspicuous) flowers of the plant. The gall is caused by a fungus, Puccinia urticata ("nettle rust", or "nettle clustercup rust").

Old rusted abandoned JCB left on a derelict building site in Cheshire....

Today I decided to visit a creek near the railroad track by my house. I enjoy observing things and this rusted bolt on the edge of the track caught my eye. How symbolic!

Barrow Hill. Not just rust decay, but vegetation too! I think that's me in the water droplet :-)

This batch was taken with a long lens through a chain link fence. The trucks were too close to get the whole of any of them, but it was a fun shoot anyway!
