On a bench made with branches, in a gazebo made of logs

Happy Bench Monday! I found this cool bench on the front porch of a local lumber mill when I inquired about firewood.
A new image and a new website.... I hope you'll check it out at www.ColoradoCaptures.com. Thanks for taking a look! :-)
From the moment I first saw Rustic Falls near Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, I knew it was something special. And being a nightscape photographer, I knew I wanted to capture it under Milky Way skies...
// rustic meadow is a new escape that changes with the season. come see what you'll discover as things aren't always what they seem.

Taken in Petoskey, Michigan.
While the barn looks a bit rough given that the siding has not been painted, it seems to be structurally sound and well maintained. I'm making that judgement from the fact that the roof appears to be relatively new. The downfall of many old barns stems from roof problems.
Remnant from the past embedded in the brick wall outside Brisbane Powerhouse.
The Brisbane Powerhouse building was once a working power station which electrified the city from the 1920s to the 1970s. Left abandoned, the city’s artists, rebels and fringe-dwellers used the building as a performance space, home and underground hang-out.
The redeveloped Brisbane Powerhouse was designed by Brisbane City Council architect Peter Roy and was opened in 2000. Seven years later the building underwent a further stage of development to increase audience capacities, restaurant and bar facilities as well as functions and conference spaces. Brisbane Powerhouse was re-opened in 2007.

This is the rustic arbor and bench I had built for my front yard. A Hardy Kiwi is growing up the poles. We hope to get some fruit from this sometime in the future.
A great number of the outdoor structures at MONA are clad in corten steel. It is a steel designed to weather and rust, and looks great. The effect is a distressed antique one and suits the (at times) steampunk vibes around the MONA campus.
Spending few days in the countryside is always such a great experience: sometimes it feels like time is going slower, with a different pace and helps you to enjoy the and the people you are with.
A rustic house is even enhancing the experience: when the sun is out it offers the warm colours that are warming up the heart too.
