Especially older Trollinos had a real interior rust problem. Here's a good example of what melted salty snow can do over time
The folly of mistaking a paradox for a discovery, a metaphor for a proof, a torrent of verbiage for a spring of capital truths, and oneself for an oracle, is inborn in us.

This is the remains of.......something.........not sure what, jutting out into the water from the beach. I assume it's left over from hurricane damage to the area a few years ago. I just thought it was an interesting example of neglect and decay, so I snapped it and textured it :-)

A few of the rusted relics at Gammons Gulch
Gammons Gulch is a reconstructed old western town created by Jay Gammons. It is a mix of 1880’s to 1930’s early America. The town has been used in movies, commercials and music videos. The movie set has a large collection of antiques, old cars and movie memorabilia. You can get a guided tour of this little town. Jay will tell you the history of just about every item he has collected over the years while creating the town.
This one measures 7 1/2 by 7 inches (paper size) and is mounted on a cardboard backing. The actual image is 6 1/4 inches in diameter and appears to be an enlargement of a negative. On the back of the mounting is a label reading "E. F. Rust Photographer and Fereotyper, copying of every description". No location given. What interested me most about this particular image was its similarity to the early Kodak camera images and the fact that Rust advertised himself as a Fereotyper (made tintypes). Found in WI.
As Neil Young said: Rust never sleeps.
So take care of you. Otherwise you'll wake up some day, look into the mirror and see, what I have seen a few days ago: The future! ;-)

Hooray for texture. Or as I could pretentiously say "the integrity of a material's passage through time."
