We probably would have taken more pictures, but we were getting eaten alive by mosquitos. In the middle of October. Who woulda thunk?

Oh, and we didn't want to get shot by the locals...

My high school girl friends and I got together for another weekend of 50th Birthday celebrations in Leavenworth, WA. We stayed in a cabin owned by Julie's friend. Julie and I took a photo walk through the property surrounding the house. I loved this rusted out old tractor.

A rusting railing holds a snakey hose.

(Shot at night and pushed a little in LR2)

Rusted mining remnants at the Lake George Mine, above the town of Captains Flat, N.S.W.

My Eos, Rust, finally got her new wig. I've had her for a couple of months now and have not taken any real photos of her. I need to fix a bunch of her stock pieces, but I really love her!

Rust latch at the Ft. Baker bunkers in San Francisco, CA.

Rust day 18

365 days in colour

The local clothes shop has a window display of autumn colours this is part of a scarf. Hooray for something different in rust colour.

Rusty fence post on Eastney beach, Southsea.

An abandoned tugboat moored at Souda Port in Crete, never to set sail ever again.

Eye Level Point of View. This picture was taken outside of my high school by the football field. I thought the contrast between the rusted garbage and the spray paint went well together. The eye level gives an extra charm to it.

From the What's Left Behind Series. Rust circles created by tables on a cafe's cement floor.

Monochromatic street signs kind of defeat the whole purpose. I'd imagine once dusk hits, it might as well not be there at all.

Rusted metal on the giant dumpster in our driveway.

The corner of this fence is the only part that hasn't been replaced, it seems. The long red barn was a nice DoF backdrop.

Created for the Rust Challenge on the DW blog. I call this one

Rusted Shut.

Some rust on the side of the bridge. I thought it looked neat.

Rusting since the 1950s.

I was trying to get something reminiscent of a Treble Cleft with this one. I like the way the subject and its shadow work together.

#1 was wrapped around a horseshoe, #2 were metal fish pulled of a wall sculpture, #3 tools and nails

Since this was the first time I tried a semi-macro with this lil P&S, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how nicely this pictured turned out.

This photo was taken in the woods around my parents' farm. According to my father, this old bicycle has always been lying here, in the middle of the forest - even back when he was a kid (we're talking around 60 years here).

I wonder what happened to the owner? And how in the world the bike ended up here! It is not exactly a bicycle friendly place.
