Contamination affects all our oceans and other bodies of water. An example is the rust colored tint left in a strait.
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is rust. As a collector and romantic hoarder of anything vintage I’m a rust lover for sure. I find rust irresistible and I have several very rusty items in my collections. I’m always worrying about tetanus (I’m a hypochondriac …) but I love my rusty vintage hooks, nails, screws, keys, bells etc… etc… But I don’t want to rust myself so that is the reason I run and today is my running day !
I wish you all an amazing Monday !! See you later my friends !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

D'you breathe the name
Of your saviour
In your hour of need
And taste the blame
If the flavor
Should remind you of greed
Of implication, insinuation and ill-will
Till you cannot lie still
In all this turmoil, before red cape and foil
Come closing in for a kill
Come feed the rain
'Cause I'm thirsty for your love
Dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah, feed the rain
'Cause without your love, my life
Ain't nothing but this carnival of rust

This is a small part of an exhibit at Birmingham Museum.
The artwork was done by Donald Rodney (1961- 1998) and titled as "Land of Milk and Honey II" Rodney was born in Birmingham. He used objects in his work to explore aspects of the human experience. His father migrated to Smethwick from the Carribean in the mid 20th century, in search of a better life in the "Land of Milk and Honey" The Vitrine contains coins and milk. They represent the 'sourced' reality many migrants actually experienced. The material he used will deteriorate and change over time.

Another hard job for my little tiny helpers. Someone came up with the idea to repair and unlock those old rusty nuts and bolts. Not even thinking about how tough this gets for my little workers. But once more...they give their best on it :)

Believe it or not I do have a rust pot of rusted items especially for challenges like this! I used the oxidised under side of the glass jar in the background to create the orange hue.
Muchas, muchas gracias por sus visitas, favs y comentarios :)

Verrostete Gartenschere, im Komposthaufen wiedergefunden.
I'm always looking for photo opportunities when I'm exploring. Sometimes I'll see something unique posted on Facebook or Google Earth and try to find it. Other times I'll just drive aimlessly down roads I've never traveled before. This was one of those unexpected finds. Nested between a couple different farms was this old truck in a field that was far from the road. Based on its condition, I imagine that it was put out to pasture many years ago. May it rust in peace!

Lightship 'North Carr' moored in City Quay, Dundee, Scotland. It was saved from being scrapped by the charity Tay Maritime Action (Taymara) in 2010, having been purchased for £1, but funds have yet to be raised for a full restoration.
Do not go gentle into that good
night,
Old age should burn and rave at
close of day:
Rage, rage against the dying of the
light.
