We all had a go at these photogenic rusty hollow buoy markers. Some nice sidelighting on our final morning did the trick for me. On the shores of Achiltibuie with the Summer Isles in the background.
As far as I can tell, ocher is the color of rust. The rust color of the cocoon matches the rust color on the supporting structure.
Substantial patches of rust are visible on the flat blade of a 1 1/8-inch steel spade drill bit used for boring into wood.

Taken at Hare's Gap, on the northern side of the Mourne Mountains. This metal box sits at a disused quarry. I have no idea what the purpose of the box is but its been siiting here rusting for as long as I remember.
