Wall art by Paul Curtis. This tribute to Red Rum is on the end of a building overlooking the Promenade in Southport. Red Rum was the famous race horse that was stabled and trained in Southport by Ginger McCain. He could often be seen training on the beach in Ainsdale. He was winner of the Grand National race at Aintree 3 times 1973, 1974 and 1977.

Wadi Rum feels like the planet Mars, but with Camels. This picture was taken close after sun rise where I climbed a big boulder and I saw a group of camels.

Excerpt from Wikipedia:

Wadi Rum, also known as The Valley of the Moon, is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan 60 km (37 mi) to the east of Aqaba; it is the largest wadi in Jordan. Wadi Rum is Arabic for "Roman Valley", or "Valley of the Rûm", as the Greeks (or East Romans) were called in the early Byzantine era by Arab people, probably referring to Christian Byzantine monastic or ascetic communities in the area, for which they were also known as "monks of the desert", before the expansion of the Rashidun Caliphate.

Wadi Rum has been inhabited by many human cultures since prehistoric times, with many cultures–including the Nabateans–leaving their mark in the form of rock paintings, graffiti, and temples.

In the West, Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British officer T. E. Lawrence, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917–18. In the 1980s one of the rock formations in Wadi Rum was named "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" after Lawrence's book penned in the aftermath of the war, though the 'Seven Pillars' referred to in the book have no connection with Rum.

The area is centered on the main valley of Wadi Rum. The highest elevation in Jordan is Jabal Umm ad Dami at 1,840 m (6,040 ft) high, located 30 kilometres south of Wadi Rum village.

Jabal Ram or Jebel Rum (1,734 metres (5,689 ft) above sea level) is the second highest peak in Jordan and the highest peak in the central Rum, rising directly above Rum valley, opposite Jebel um Ishrin, which is possibly one metre lower.

Wadi Rum (Arabic: وادي رم Wādī Ramm, also Wādī al-Ramm), known also as the Valley of the Moon (Arabic: وادي القمر Wādī al-Qamar), is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan, near the border to Saudi Arabia and about 60 km (37 mi) to the east of the city of Aqaba. With an area of 720 km2 (280 sq mi) it is the largest wadi in Jordan.

Several prehistoric civilizations left petroglyphs, rock inscriptions and ruins in Wadi Rum. Today it is a tourist attraction, offering guided tours, hiking and rock climbing. The Wadi Rum Protected Area has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2011.*

Let's design packages thinking of how they'll look in people's hands. All the boring government warnings and identifications should go on easily peeled-off labels, and underneath the objects should be movie-prop versions of themselves.

Vamos desenhar embalagens pensando em como vão ficar nas mãos das pessoas. Toda a parte chata de avisos e informativos do governo vai em etiquetas fáceis de arrancar, e embaixo os objetos são versões de filme de si mesmos.

After a walk up and over across the middle of the island of Eigg you are rewarded with this amazing view across the Sound of Rum to the island of the same name. Of course the reward is very weather dependant!

There are a lot of sea caves around Rum but not many are easily accessible except from the sea. We had to wait for the tide to go out here to get round a small headland on foot. The red rocks are the billion year old Torridonean sandstone.

Eigg is one of the Small Isles, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It lies to the south of the Skye and to the north of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Eigg is 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) long from north to south, and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east to west. With an area of 12 square miles (31 km2), it is the second largest of the Small Isles after Rùm

Rùm a Scottish Gaelic name often anglicised to Rum is one of the Small Isles of the Inner Hebrides, in the district of Lochaber, Scotland. For much of the 20th century the name became Rhum, a spelling invented by the former owner, Sir George Bullough, because he did not relish the idea of having the title "Laird of Rum".

It is the largest of the Small Isles, and the fifteenth largest Scottish island, but is inhabited by only about thirty or so people, all of whom live in the village of Kinloch on the east coast. The island has been inhabited since the 8th millennium BC and provides some of the earliest known evidence of human occupation in Scotland

The Wadi Rum desert, which in Arabic means “Valley of the Moon”, is one of the most spectacular and breathtaking environments in the entire Middle East and even the great Lawrence of Arabia defined this area as “a vast, resonant with distant echoes and divine”.

The Wadi Rum area still preserves numerous traces left by the civilizations that inhabited it: rock carvings, Thamudene inscriptions and even a half-ruined Nabatean temple.

All of this cane is at the River Antoine Rum Factory and the rum here is strong! A few samples had me feeling it!

Two pities : 1) ISO was too high, I forgot to tune it down; 2) Should have a glass with some Rum aside.

Wadi Rum (Arabic: وادي رم‎‎) also known as The Valley of the Moon (Arabic: وادي القمر‎‎) is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan 60 km (37 mi) to the east of Aqaba; it is the largest wadi in Jordan.[1] The name Rum most likely comes from an Aramaic root meaning 'high' or 'elevated'.[2] To reflect its proper Arabic pronunciation, archaeologists transcribe it as Wadi Ramm
