BR Class 47/3 47328 powers away from Llandudno Junction with the mid-afternoon 7F10 Speedlink service to Warrington, Walton Old Junction. The first two Ferry Wagon vans contained aluminium billets from RTZ, Anglesey, then a pair of VAA Railfreight vans [explosives] were from Maentwrog Road [Blaenau Ffestiniog] and at the rear there was a discharged fuel tank from Holyhead and empty PCA cement tanks from Bangor.

Loaded petroleum coke was conveyed on a regular basis for many years between Humber oil refinery and Holyhead RTZ. The train stands on the Up and Down Goods line after train crew relief.
In those days the local hourly service from Chester only ran as far as Rock Ferry prior to electrification, hence the 101 Metro-Camm DMU standing in platform 7b with the 1112 departure.

The Holyhead RTZ - Humber Petroleum Coke has just arrived at Rotherwood in the charge of a couple of 76's and the 47 is backing on for the next leg of the journey.

47054 passes Hebden Bridge with 6E36 07:42 Holyhead RTZ to Humber petroleum coke empties. 31/5/88. It still amazes me that Mick got so many shots of this elusive train, although I suppose it helped that he was out by the lineside most days. I managed three pictures!

The Edmonds Garden is the remains of the garden at the now long gone Edmonds Baking Powder factory in Christchurch. The most famous cook book in New Zealand is the Edmonds Cookbook and is still published. After much wrangling part of the extensive gardens were kept and that is where today's Christchurch Photographer's Group meet up was.
