Weaving it's way around St Paul's Cray estate and seen in Chipperfield Road, is RT 2944 (SP) on the 229 during its last week in revenue earning service. The following week it was transferred to Bexleyheath as a trainer where it remained for a further eight months until being sent to Wombwell Diesels for scrap. Thursday 19th May 1977. 3U-2.

On a tour to Guernsey a few years ago, I'd arranged a surprise journey on an open top bus around the island for the group, we terminated the painful experience half way around the island due to the fact that almost everyone on the top deck was turning blue and had lost the art of basic speech....a great time was had by all !
Photo shows that group had deserted the bus in favour of a local soup kitchen....and many radiators.
The date was 9th May, 1999 and I haven't got a clue who were the original owners of the bus, if it was an RM, I would have said LT, but as its an RT....that's not necessarily the case.
diecast 1:50. The Solido casting is old now and not as detailed as contemporary models. It still looks good and represents the RT well.
