I'm not sure of the dates when this Bristol LS would have operated in the LT Country Area and I suspect it would not have lasted to 1967 (the year I am attempting to focus on). Any thoughts are welcome..

Dunton Green's RT 640 had the honour of working the last 854 from Orpington to Ramsden Estate. The 854 was replaced by route 493 which became a one-way circular route around the estate. The last trip is caught here at Ramsden Estate. Friday 30th December 1966.

London bus route 430 is unique: it runs only on Christmas Day; it is the only route running in London on that day; and travelling is free!

In 2021 it was operated by RTs 2043 (1950s Vintage Bus Hire) and 4779 (London Bus Museum). Here RT 2043 stands at the Putney Bridge station terminus.

Stabled at the rear of Bromley garage is RT 3546. Do you remember Black Cat cigarettes? Friday 7th May 1976. 3B-12.

U.S. Route 66 or the Mother Road or The most famous road in the world.

One of the original U.S. highways, Route 66 was established on November 11, 1926 -- with road signs erected the following year.[2] The highway, which became one of the most famous roads in America, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, before ending at Los Angeles, covering a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km).

This one survived for many years until being burnt out a few years ago.

Not very often seen out of the garage RT 3511 was for a long time not identifiable due to all its identification being removed. Location of the Weymann builder's plate W350 finally identified the bus The body 2340 is an RT 3/1 and was originally on RT 1061, its one of the first batch of non headboxed RTs that Weymann built and dates from late 1948 The chassis was originally used to take the body off SRT 12 to become RT 4445.

Although routes 105 and 140 survived in this area until the Spring and Summer of 1978, the North West was very quickly stripped of RTs, many of whose routes became omo. RT 2673 (S) from Shepherds Bush garage on route 105 is seen in Greenford Road, Greenford on Friday 11th February 1977. Shepherds Bush lost its RTs on Friday 29th April 1978, although a lone RT ran on a journey on route 88 the following day at the request of enthusiasts. 3L-10.

Substituting for an RM due to the serious bus shortage in the mid-70s. Don't recognise the stand. I think its probably Mildmay Park. All three buses have Bloomsbury on the blind, so perhaps this was a scheduled leg of the service.

Inevitably, as RTs were replaced they found use as non-passenger duties. This began in 1969 and RTs remained in training and staff bus use up until their demise in 1979. RT 1102 (NF) is caught resting in Sevenoaks bus station. This bus never ran in passenger service with London Country, only as a training vehicle. Thursday 27th May 1976. 3C-10.
