I love sitting in the sun reading on the deck when the weather gets nice. Keeping peanuts with me is a must because we have a couple little chick-a-dees who love to come for snacks and that makes the routine even more fabulous!!!

It is the routines that determine everyday life. Over time, the principle of repetition culminates in a dull routine. So, it gradually becomes clear what to expect, and surprises rarely find their way to the surface.

But if you only persuade yourself long enough, the daily grind might appear to be more colorful than it actually is. Hence, it is hard even to notice how gray everything has become in this process.

However, it should not be forgotten that the routines do not come by themselves. The person indulges habits, paves their way, and decides for or against them.

Yet, breaking out of this self-imposed tunnel vision and leaving the comfort zone often brings sudden surprises. If your gaze wanders into unused corners, you can suddenly see how vivid all of the other things are really there.

A couple of Fishermen who're preparing for their daily trip

Haven't posted a picture of my Shmister in a couple days...it's been too long!

Do you guys use Twitter? What about Tumblr?

I thought long about this prompt - I'm not a person that has many routines and if I have one I might change it daily :) But there's one thing I never miss, not when I'm late, not when I got a hangover, not even when I'm sick - breakfast. Not that it's elaborate every day, the bare minimum being a tea. But I always make the time to sit down and enjoy the breakfast!

Today I made a quite heavy but healthy breakfast wrap with avocado, eggs and tomatoes and had a glass of orange juice with it.

While at the Central Park Zoo we washed Gus here for a while, he had quite a routine going on, which ended or some may started with this float, see the shots below to see his routine

Speaking of routines, I have been thinking as I took it easy today I have been trying to return all comments I get and keep up with groups that I realized my comments where getting quite generic at times, so apologies for that and will try to make them more thought out and relevant comments in the future and apologize if it means I cannot visit and comment on as many shots as I was, but I think for me its quality rather than quantity thats important,

that all I said I know a fair percentage that view or comment will never read this so sorry for going on for those that did :)

One of my favorite things about mecha has always been the support systems and infrastructure around them- In this case a simple scaffolding for working on the limbs, and some munitions containers and their transport.

No not really !

On a dull and lifeless day when the rains ruined the Diwar Bonderam of 2009, there was very little to bring any cheer to the proceedings. Bad light and rain and shooting with one hand holding an umbrella to protect the camera is a nightmarish scenario, and, it certainly was.

The only way out of such bad bluesy situation is to do close ups and some were done.

The organisers, at least some of them, were kinda "frog in the well" variety. They hustled the proceedings ham handedly.

Some cheer then from this Goan girl who was a part of a troupe of similarly dressed girls and boys no doubt doing a dance routine of the Latin variety. (I am afraid I know not, the name of this delightful girl who is/was a tad gawky but has some excellent bone geometry )

The first rush of the image done from a RAW file on Pro Photo color setting when converted to a jpeg image and viewed on a standard viewer made the colors and intensity pale and lifeless just like the Goan weather of August 2009. I had to redo this image from scratch in Adobe 1998 color and get back the colors.

I will post some other crops and closeups of the prophoto color setting suitably processed further to get back the colors.

The girl is on purpose portrayed in a smoking sultry dark but the other images will be not so. ( dark , I mean)
