Made me think of Mary Poppins and dancing on the rooftops.
Side view from the Bed & Breakfast
I loved this "hotel" in Amsterdam.
It was cold outside, but I kept hanging out the windows to soak up the view.
sunset from a rooftop in a small village 17 kms east of Meknes (Morocco) where I spent three days attending a wedding
The rooftops of Scott St. Dundee sloping down towards the Tay with the Tay Road Bridge and Fife visible in the background
Lazy Sunday morning bedroom camera obscura fun. Our bedroom velux-type window creates a very nice pinhole when you close the built-in little curtain roller and keep the window just 1cm from being shut. A camera on a long shutter speed sees even more color and detail than the human eye, so I was surprised by the effect.
DIY: every house has a natural camera obscura somewhere. Just check your darkest rooms and try to create a hole. A dark hallway with doors to bright rooms is perfect. The keyhole acts as pinhole. Good luck :-)
Kings Road
Mucking around, the morning was a little grey so it made better sense to colourise the pic!
Standing on Kings Road in the North Birmingham suburb of New Oscott (or thereabouts) a fantastic vista over the rooftops to the city centre can be enjoyed. The BT Tower takes a prominent position. I don't know the names of the other buildings so feel free to make notes!
