Reverse of photograph of a soldier called Arthur, c. WW2. It is mounted in an embossed card and hand inscribed "Best Wishes, Arthur" in blue ink.

Taken at Studio of Roy, 143 Rochester High Street, Kent. The back of the photo and the card are printed with the studio and the photo reference number. The card is signed "Roy" in pencil on the inside bottom right corner.

If anyone has any information on the soldier, uniform or studio I'd love to hear it. The soldier has some connection to the Barr family in the Medway Towns, possibly Rainham, Kent.

I am constantly forgetting which way the kids are supposed to face in strollers. They're supposed to face backwards so they can see you, right? That makes sense to me.

The Reversing Mirror is a hand mirror that reverses the power of anything that happens to the mirror. Any Shen Gong Wu based attacks that are directed at the holder of the Reversing Mirror will be sent back at the attacker upon activation of the Reversing Mirror. The Reversing Mirror also has the ability to change the effects of Shen Gong Wu used with it. For example, using the Two-Ton Tunic in combination with the Reversing Mirror would cause the Two-Ton Tunic to be as light as a feather.

One of the great benefits of travel is that you get to experience things that make you go 'Whoa!". I love the perverse idea of "reverse happy hour". What could go wrong? On a recent trip to Texas.

Days after their attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese military commanders realize they have provoked the U.S. into joining the war and are likely targets for American retaliation. They quickly mobilize to build a secret super fleet of submarines. Sen Toku: search for Japan’s Ghost Fleet follows as Texas A&M University marine archaeologist Brett Phaneuf tries to locate these legendary subs. Phaneuf and his team travel to Japan where 24 World War II submarines were scuttled, doomed to a watery grave. Working from 60- year-old declassified U.S. naval photos, ocean sonar and GPS navigation, and ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), Phaneuf’s crew – the first to survey these wrecks – discover details of World War II submarines lost long ago in the Pacific Ocean.

While the team searches for the Sen Toku submarines, they learn of secret missions planned for the subs. But the sea doesn't give up its secrets without a fight, and six decades of saltwater and secrecy has buried all that remains of Japan's ghost fleet. The team is prepared to push themselves and their technology to learn the truth, but will it be enough to solve this deep blue mystery?

Roman Coins

Beginning with the first emperor, Augustus (ruled 27 BC-AD 14), the Romans regularly issued coins displaying a portrait of the ruler or one of his family members on the obverse (front). The reverse bore an image of a deity, mythological figure, building, or a historical event. The imperial portraits are finely modeled and often represent individuals not seen in surviving sculpture.

All the coins on view here are gold aurei, except no. 34, which is a gold solidus.

Trying out a new technique called reverse lens photography. It is where you literally take your lens off the camera and hold it reversed against the body to take a macro photo. Haven't figured out the best way to get a consistent focus yet.

A tricky business reversing with a heavily laden trailer but no probs for my mate Sid.
