The Original game was based on the Castenada books and was written for the Dragon 32 by Ken Kallsh and is available online to play using a Dragon32/64 emulator.

30 Hour BASIC, Oric Edition by Clive Prigmore. It was published by the National Extension College in 1983. The aim of this book was to teach the reader how to program in Oric BASIC, presumably in around 30 hours. Versions of this book were available for a number of computers, I am aware of specific examples for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, ZX81 and BBC.

The internals of my Atari Stacy, the first portable computer from Atari. Made in 1989.
The hard disk was broken, the bearings seems to have broke because there was some kind of sticky fluid leaking out of the hard drive. I bought a unused IBM-drive from Ebay, unfortunately it was half height and thus didn't quite fit inside the Stacy so I had to remove the floppy, and the Stacy wouldn't detect it (it worked with my TT). So I ended up mounting the old one again, but without the power connected and replaced the floppy drive, which was broken.

Every few years, it's been fun to dig out my old Newton MessagePads and just poke at them, but this year a couple of things are different.
Not least, or greatest, of the changes is that I now have an iPhone 3G to compare the Newton to. Newt is clearly the grandfather: older, slower, and grayer; the iPhone is clearly the grandchild: colorful, fluid, playful, and better at video games than grandpa is.
Also found in the same attic box: two even-older MessagePad 100's!

Teletype model 33 ASR I bought at the DeAnza Electronics Flea Market. Taken with my phone cam, horrible quality.
Oh Teletype. I love you. I've wanted one of these for many years. And now I have one!
I have no idea if it works or not. It's in remarkably good shape inside, so we'll see if I can coax it to be usable.
EDIT: It works fine! Just needs a good cleaning. I have better pictures now, too.

This is the Xerox Alto displayed at the Fuji Xerox Building, Minato Mirai, Yokohama.
The Xerox Alto was an early personal computer developed at Xerox PARC in 1973. It was the first computer to use the desktop metaphor and graphical user interface (GUI).
It was not a commercial product, but several thousand units were built and were heavily used at PARC, other Xerox facilities, and at several universities for many years. The Alto greatly influenced the design of personal computers in the following decades, notably the Macintosh and the first Sun workstations.
