Walking my usual route to collect my morning coffee I set about to climb the flight of steps until I saw a response to 'Is this life?' Above this reads 'Is this life?', an existential question perhaps, left by an anonymous individual. And then reads this remark. Humorous commentary on thought-provoking matter.

Our 5-person Go Team in China has arrived in Chengdu to work together with the local authorities, as well as the One Foundation and Save China, to support the many thousands of people who have been affected by last week's earthquake. In case you missed the news, at least 186 people have died and many more have been injured and left homeless after a 6.6-magnitude quake rocked Sichuan in southern China, with the epicentre near Ya'an.
We're sending relief items -- including more than 6,000 hygiene packs, 1500 items of clothing and tents to provide temporary shelter -- to the disaster area, where the weather has been steadily deteriorating, with heavy rains at the moment.
The last major earthquake in Sichuan was in 2008. It killed tens of thousands and left 5,000,000 homeless.
“Repeated earthquakes hit affected people’s minds hard and children, particularly, are most vulnerable,” said Unni Krishnan, Plan’s Head of Disaster Response and Preparedness.

I could paint with these shoes and you'd never know the difference. That is until the day comes when I have to paint the weather wall. Green doesn't match with black and white splotches...
SWEET CALL AND RESPONSE
By Steve MacDonald and Dana F. Smith
2012, San Francisco, California
edition of 25
Sweet Call and Response was developed with an emphasis on experimentation with the materials - digital printing on canvas, photo collage, machine sewn thread, and sewn collage.
Instinctively, messages are sent to attract a response. This book is a visual poem about communication through the interplay of universal symbols and photographic images.
The book is printed entirely on canvas specially coated for digital printing with pigmented inks. A variety of sewing techniques, such as patchwork and embroidery, are applied to the pages over the ink. Each page of the book is treated with meticulous stitching executed by hand using a home sewing machine. Pages are affected on both sides by the stitching. Inverse images create a visual echo woven into the design of the book, which propels the narrative ever forward.
Designed by Steve MacDonald and Dana F. Smith

Attempting to capture a fragment of art that spoke to me at MFABoston. In "Lake Winnipesaukee" by Ferdinand Richardt, it was the sky. He perfectly translated with oil on canvas one of my favorite features of my soon-to-be-home. While the seclusion he depicted in the surrounding hills no longer exists, the ancient power of the sky and water remain.

I am so inspired by Jerry Uelsmann's work especially his series "other realities". So i have decided to do a few visual responses to his work and this is my first one... This is my response to a photo that is untitled and was taken and manipulated in 1980 by Jerry Uelsmann. PART OF A SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND ILLUSTRATED ESSAY ON THE QUESTION "HOW HAS PHOTOGRAPHY AFFECTED THE ART MOVEMENT SURREALISM AND THE FORMAT IN WHICH IT CAN BE PORTRAYED?"
The Vicenza Military Community conducted its full-scale exercise Lion Response 2016 on Caserma Ederle May 10.
The annual exercise was a tool to verify the cooperation of Italian and American security forces in response to an emergency situation.
This year’s scenario included two simultaneous simulated terrorist attacks near controlled access areas on Caserma Ederle.
