An oven heating element is a critical component in an electric oven responsible for generating the heat necessary for cooking or baking. It consists of a sturdy metal coil or wire element that is typically located at the top or bottom of the oven's interior. When you set the desired cooking temperature on your oven, electricity flows through the heating element, causing it to heat up and emit radiant heat. Over time, oven heating elements can wear out or become damaged due to the extreme heat they generate. When a heating element fails, it can result in uneven cooking, longer cooking times, or food not cooking properly. Replacing a faulty heating element is a relatively common oven repair task and can restore your oven's cooking performance. Steps to replace your oven heating element: Unthread the screws of back panel Remove the back panel Disconnecting the wiring Remove the old heating element Install the new heating element Connect the wiring
The cabin deck is over 40 years old, the whole thing needs to go, but we can't do that at the moment, instead we spent a couple of afternoons over Easter replacing the worst of the worst of the rotten boards, all told just about 200 linear feet. We were proud of doing this on our own having never done this kind of thing before, and a great place to start/learn because it is temporary until the whole deck can be R&R'd. Maybe we'll build that too - I ain't scared.

We applied for and obtained the building permit. We handled all inspections. We removed the existing concrete driveway. We removed all debris from premises. We graded and compacted all soil. We poured the new concrete driveway and walkways with 4000 PSI concrete with fiber mesh reinforcement. We hand troweled the concrete with a double broom finish. We cut all expansion joints accordingly.
