Five beautifully made replacement pieces.. I'd love to know when they were made and by whom. The eBay seller from whom I bought the puzzle didn't know. The pieces are the same thickness of plywood, and the pieces have been painted so well that when I had finished the jigsaw I had a hard time remembering which were the replacements. On some the colour has faded with time, otherwise it would be almost impossible to find them. Oh I do wish I knew when are where these pieces had been made - with such skill.

The Cirrus is STILL in the air, I'm waiting for their insurance company to replace the rear window, as well as them to get it inspected. The Cirrus will mainly be Jesse's car, but since he doesn't drive for almost 2 more years, I'll be driving it in the meantime. This, will most likely be the replacement for the truck. They are easy to work on, reliable, comfortable, and, even though I oppose small cars, there is something about this I just fall in love with. I mean, technically it was a full-size, but compared to my Town Car...well. You know. I haven't done any serious looking lately, but the time will come.
Not to be outdone Pam has bought this iPad to replace her underpowered Acer netbook. Mosty all she does is surf the web and send a few emails so this is perfect of her.
I have noticed that she keeps going back to the netbook though, perhaps it will take time for her to familiarise herself with the new toy.

The homeowner wanted to replace these concrete driveway with the traditional concrete driveway that would outlast the previous. Our crew went to work demolishing the previous driveway which took altogether about one day to complete. In this project we also replace the front sidewalk and front stoop.

Air Conditioning Replacement is important to maintaining central heating output as furnaces last about 15-20 years. How well the heating system works will not only depend on repair and maintenance, but also on realizing when you need to replace it.
Left knee replaced. The procedure for the replacement was interesting. It starts with a CAT scan. The readings are forwarded to a company that makes replacement knees from the CAT scan info. They are produced to match the existing leg bones with little or no shaping of existing bone upon being surgically implanted. Having said that, the surgery did take three hours. In case anyone is trying to count that is 41 staples with some stitches along the way.

The replacement computer for my now almost-late and highly lamented previous computer... I decided not to use a computer case mainly because I always have the sides off and am tinkering about inside of it. The motherboard is mounted on an oak plank with screws and standoffs giving about 1 3/4 inch clearance... Now all I have to do is build a hard drive bay...
Replacement hammer handle. Somewhat surprised to be able to buy just the handle (why not just the head?). Of the 20+ brands of hammer - only two had non-wooden handles.

Edited with Photoshop, used the Content-Aware fill-tool, and then the Sky Replacement-tool. Some artifacts around the building, but I'm impressed!
The Dragoman truck was stuck at the Chinese border due to some paperwork issues. We got this old Russian Army truck as a temporary replacement.

The elevator replacement will take 8-10 weeks, so during that time, we will be using the stairs. This is hard on the older tenants. Already five groups of tenants have moved out.
The mailman says that one apartment building took 6 months to repair their elevator.
The elevator definitely needs work. This vintage Staley elevator, at least 70 years old, often sticks with people in it.
Most plastic wallet packagings of the 80s aged very badly. Heat, sunlight, humidity, glue, bad storage etc, for those that were not discarded in the first place. At last we can preserve those games correctly.
