So, 1980 and my Dad got rear-ended in his Chrysler 180. Although the 180 was repaired, it was then replaced with this Alpine.
Like the 180, this had been my Uncle's company car - he took advantage of the ability to buy them when the work use ended and sold them on to my dad at a very reasonable rate.

The homeowner wanted to replace these concrete driveway with the traditional concrete driveway that would outlast the previous. Like many Twitter users, I’m a big fan of the Adobe AIR application TweetDeck, which allows users to manage an overwhelming stream of content through the creation of custom groups. The application icon has never fit particularly well on my desktop, so I designed a new one.
I love TweetDeck’s default noir-ish black theme, but the black icon often “sunk” into the icon or taskbar (especially for Vista users). The new icon takes many value cues from the application itself, but in a counter shape forgiving of varying desktops and themes. And since users are allowed to skin the interface with their own custom colors, why not include a few different flavors as well?

Five beautifully made replacement pieces.. I'd love to know when they were made and by whom. The eBay seller from whom I bought the puzzle didn't know. The pieces are the same thickness of plywood, and the pieces have been painted so well that when I had finished the jigsaw I had a hard time remembering which were the replacements. On some the colour has faded with time, otherwise it would be almost impossible to find them. Oh I do wish I knew when are where these pieces had been made - with such skill.

Replacement hammer handle. Somewhat surprised to be able to buy just the handle (why not just the head?). Of the 20+ brands of hammer - only two had non-wooden handles.

Most plastic wallet packagings of the 80s aged very badly. Heat, sunlight, humidity, glue, bad storage etc, for those that were not discarded in the first place. At last we can preserve those games correctly.

Look and admire the old, but that old will soon be replaced. When that old is replaced accept the new, for that new will also be replaced.

The replacement computer for my now almost-late and highly lamented previous computer... I decided not to use a computer case mainly because I always have the sides off and am tinkering about inside of it. The motherboard is mounted on an oak plank with screws and standoffs giving about 1 3/4 inch clearance... Now all I have to do is build a hard drive bay...

The Cirrus is STILL in the air, I'm waiting for their insurance company to replace the rear window, as well as them to get it inspected. The Cirrus will mainly be Jesse's car, but since he doesn't drive for almost 2 more years, I'll be driving it in the meantime. This, will most likely be the replacement for the truck. They are easy to work on, reliable, comfortable, and, even though I oppose small cars, there is something about this I just fall in love with. I mean, technically it was a full-size, but compared to my Town Car...well. You know. I haven't done any serious looking lately, but the time will come.

Air Conditioning Replacement is important to maintaining central heating output as furnaces last about 15-20 years. How well the heating system works will not only depend on repair and maintenance, but also on realizing when you need to replace it.

Just a few more bolts (3/8 UNC if you were wondering) to tighten up and the jobs a good 'un. Gearbox oil will be changed very shortly, but at least no more water can get in!
