This was one of our first assignments for our rendering class, unfortunately I could not find the original of the rendering we were copying.
Although many of the parts in this image do not currently exist in these colors, it was fun to see what the racquet would look like.
A quick rendering of a necklace based on a paper wasp nest. This is in its first stages. The design has changed radically but its still a sweet painting.
Chrome appears to have a problem with low-contrast text (in terms of colour)?
The top screenshots are from Firefox (19.0.2) – this is how I’d like it to look; bottom ones from Chrome (26.0.1410.43). All screenshots with a 500% enlargement.
Same site and code top and bottom. The text is rendered in Titling Gothic Condensed from Webtype, #cac6c5 on #fcf8f6 (on the left side), all caps, 17px font-size with 1px letter-spacing.
When I change the text colour to something darker (see right side – that would be the mouseover state) it looks crisp enough in both browsers.
Wondering if the rendering of the light version is something I just have to live with, or does someone have a workaround/idea?

This was a graduate school project to design every aspect of a show, from sets, lights and costumes to blocking and directing. I chose a favorite play, "Private Lives." The action concerns a divorced couple, Amanda and Elyot, both recently remarried, who accidentally book adjoining suites at the same hotel for their honeymoons. The play centers on the two leads and their agonising realisation that they still care for each other. Here is Elyot's 3rd Act traveling suit.

Growth Rendering Device is a kinetic installation that captures the growth of a pea plant over a 24-hour period. Suspended in a nutrient-rich hydroponic solution the pea plant growth is recorded during the length of the exhibition. Attached to a wall, the plant is connected to a vertical scanner, an ink-jet printer, and a growth light. This system provides everything that is needed to sustain and record the plant's development. The device produces a rasterized drawing every twenty-four hours. After each new drawing is produced the system scrolls the roll of paper approximately four inches to make way for the next drawing cycle to begin. The outcome of this work is not predetermined. As the name suggests the focus is on growth - a complete feedback system between machine and plant, however it is possible that what the machine may record is also the decay and demise of the plant. Drawing marked parallels to Gregor Mendel's work on inheritance in peas, Growth Rendering Device seems to ask whether both the machinic and artistic parent will leave their mark on their offspring.

New to me rangefinder (Nikon S4 with 50mm f2) and took around in moments of reasonable temperatures (over 30 degrees F). My film didn't like my development process so had to cut off alot of the top of my pics - not sure why since I've used the process many times; also had a ton of black spots in high light areas - maybe a fix problem. But it was very enjoyable being out and taking images. Thanks to flickeranians again!

These are costume rendering sketches from my past- most were drawn 20 to 30 years ago for classes or shows.
These sketches are among my favorites, though they were a class exercise and never got made. In the play, the lead character, M. Jourdain, aspires to leave his middle class and become friends with nobility. Cléonte, who is in love with M Jourdain's daughter, with the assistance of his valet Covielle, disguises himself and presents himself to Jourdain as the son of the Sultan of Turkey. Needless to say, M. Jourdain is taken in and consents with delight to have his daughter marry foreign royalty. He is even more delighted when the "Turkish prince" informs him that, as father of the bride, he too will be officially enobled at a special ceremony. The last scene of the play presents this ridiculous ceremony, full of mock-Turkish mumbo-jumbo. This is one of Cléonte's servants as a "Turkish" attendant.
