A protest in front of the White House. 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC.

... actually, i should be asking if you even remember me. it's been so darn long since i've done anything on flickr ... school, and life outside of school has been getting the better of me. my apologies. it's gotten to the sad point where i'm so far behind on everyone's streams that i'm too overwhelmed to try and catch up! yikes.

'tis true.

regardless, i have almost gone a whole two months without picking up my camera ... i was so ashamed that i grabbed it on friday and took some shots and then took it to UofT and plopped it in my little locker. now i have no excuses!! so, hopefully new stuff is on its way soon. until then you'll have to make due with some older stuff (from the farm in this case).

i was really hoping that we might make it up there this winter, but the chances of that just seem to get slimmer and slimmer. it's a lot of work for my friend's grandparents to have us, let alone all the other family that they entertain in the winter. we want to be up there so bad, but at the same time, we don't want to overwhelm them ...

unfortunately, we're such good, understanding guys. LOL.

"..remember, the fifth of november..gunpowder treason and plot, ..I see no reason why gunpowder, treason should ever be forgot."

it kept me on the edge of my seat,...and there werent but two more people in the theatre!(i could gasp and sigh and etc. all i could =))

have got to watch it again,..it's that kind of movie that i just have to. it's mind boggling the first time,...and i'm sure even for the n^th time..

Gary, no wonder you kept going on about it .. :)

Most of the bricks seen here have inscriptions in them dedicated to the memory of lost loved ones. Even the fountain was a memorial to a loved one. This is simply a gorgeous setting to sit and enjoy the day here in Kingston Ontario Canada.

Chiefs captain creates scholarship in honour of Grant Sheridan

Myles Mattila is wearing the ‘C’ as the leader of the Kelowna Chiefs this year.

Off the ice, he’s been an exemplary leader in many facets of life for some time and he’s back at it again with a newly-created scholarship.

The Remembering Grant Sheridan Scholarship honours Grant Sheridan, the former owner of the Chiefs who passed away this summer, and it’ll be available to all KIJHL players.

It’s been created through the MindRight for Athletes Society, another creation of Mattila, and will recognize a player for their hockey commitment, community involvement and academic achievement.

The scholarship will be initiated during the Chiefs’ home opener at Rutland Arena on Friday night and more details about it will become available as the season goes on.

“It is with heavy hearts the Kelowna Chiefs will be playing our home opener in memory of Grant. There will not be a dry eye in the house,” says Mattila.

“Grant was a very special person who will be dearly missed by all. Grant and I had very similar fundamental beliefs in the core values of hockey, education, and community involvement, which included mental health.”

Sheridan presented Mattila with the team’s Scholastic Player of the Year award after the 2017-18 season.

Remember back, before the cold and the snow, all the way back to last summer, when it looked like this outside? So bright and thirsty and full of life... I can't wait for the rain to start!
