The Fairy Pools below Waterpipe Gully on Sgurr an Fheadain in the Cuillin on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. After a couple of days on the mountains, it was a refreshing change to have a much more simple and easy walk up to this lovely location for a spot of photography.
A little, pleasant and refreshing creek coming down Boulder Mountain. It traverses a small canyon, hidden deep and of difficult access in the Capitol Reef National Park. I tried to visit it again in winter to photograph it with snow and ice, but had no luck as the ‘road’ was impassible.

After two weeks of poor air quality around us from the smoke of two large wildfires, the wind shifted and our air quality improved greatly today. I had to get out, so I headed for one of my favorite places on the Continental Divide to breathe in the fresh, cool, rarefied air near 12,000 feet. It was 83 degrees at our house at 8710 feet and 58 degrees on The Divide.
The first time I had a margarita in Mexico, it came with the glass rimmed with a mixture of salt and chili pepper. The chili adds a nice touch of heat to the drink.

-19 degrees Celcius today. I decided to walk Komsa to see the sun and the colours. Cold but beautiful. It has been snowing for days. It was not possible to walk up there without snow shoes yesterday. Someone made a nice path for me to walk
A slice of refreshing water for this continued heat wave we're experiencing.
Hottest June by a lot in the Pacific Northwest.
Hottest year ever so far as well. And we just entered the 2 months where we normally get some heat, rarely this hot though. Wildfires already run amok. Crazy weather.
Hope the weather is better where you are.
Enjoy a cool Thursday.
This is the bottom third of Multnomah Falls... the bit you see at the top is a hint of the huge falls above this one!
BNSF 1972 heads up the Wolsey Turn passing through Ashton, SD. 1972 has no PTC so it is always buried. Not sure what happened here.
It is always good to know, if only in passing, charming human beings. It refreshes one like flowers and woods and clear brooks.

Some little flowers in a littler jug - placed under a table lamp. These little charmers have been with me for over a week now. Little rays of beauty. (I seem to have used lots of little words here ...)
Picniked.
In the green belt around the historic city of Mainz; in former centuries it was a ring of defence work.
with the very high temperatures and the high humidity it's nice to have this mountain river close to me to take a swim.

Found this photo that I took in August while testing out OM System's OM-1. It barely rained last summer and temperatures were higher than ever; and birds scarce. They were desperate for water and the nearby river was about to dry out completely. Luckily it didn't. One day while I was with the OM-1 and some Black Redstarts in the field, raindrops started appearing through my visor. Finally some refreshing rain.

To be poured like a drink.
The bubbles fizz.
Gathered around, enriched in desire.
To quench the pursuit of pleasure.
Snapping the top proceeding to pour.
Cold to taste.
This was the comfort I felt surrounded
in her arms.
A glass seen half full continuing to pour.
Filling the space around.
Drowning just beneath the rim of glass.
An extension of myself caught in great advantage.
The settlement before the first sip.
Compensating the thrill of being swallowed whole.
In terms of affection.
It was a hug I'd never forget.
A thought that leads into physical manifestation.
The bliss of the moment,
The moment her lips pop at the taste.
Bubbles fizz crackling in the midst of excitement.
Tickling her nose.
The memory of how things were.
Drunk until nothing is left
The reality of how things really are.......
Nothing like an ice cold drink on a hot summer day. ;)
It was so hot last week and this week it's been so cold. I just want it to be warm.
