Motion(?) created by twisting the zoom ring - one benefit of using a macro converstion filter. I love how it has the affect of opening a crisp, ice cold beer on a hot summer day!

Macrom Mondays: Refreshments

A cool glass bubbling water and cherries

Place: Rock Garden Road Bloomfield Tea Garden, Darjeeling,

The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s..

Rock Garden

The garden is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Darjeeling. While proceeding from the town along Hill Cart Road, one has to turn right, well before reaching Ghum. The road descends rapidly into the valley. With sharp bends all the way, there are scenic views at many points. Tea gardens dot the hill slopes.

Yes... A fresh bier is the best thing after a long day of doing nothing!

Acting on a whimsical idea

The petunias in my hanging basket needed a refreshing shower. So with one hand I was misting them, and with the other I clicked and captured this image.

Thanks everyone for your views, awards, comments, invites and faves.

My entry for Pencil Topper Challenge in "Looking close on Friday"

An old tree towers high above the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle. He doesn't look quite as fresh anymore. But on the contrary. Only a small part of the branches is still green.

On the one hand, I find that very regrettable, because a healthy, strong tree is of course a much nicer sight.

On the other hand, precisely because it looks that way, this pine is more interesting from a photographic point of view. For me it has more the appearance of a sculpture than that of a plant.

This photo was taken 2 years ago and fell into my "hands" again today (actually only into my eyes). Since I'm not going to travel this summer, I spontaneously came up with the idea of digging up a few unpublished pictures from earlier trips and refreshing the memories with them.

Let's see what else comes up.

Mal sehen, was dabei noch so auftaucht.

The best water in the house is found on the bathroom shelf. It is so refreshing with a slight taste of toothpaste. This glass was my master's, but now it's mine!

Taken for Macro Monday’s theme refreshments.

Nothing like a cool Oregon waterfall on a hot summer day.

Thank you, Serein, for accepting my invitation for this picture.

Find the nearest restaurant with cold drinks and enjoy!! :)

It was buy one Sangria, get the 2nd free.....this is the second, the first was gulped down in less than a minute, haha.

(MORE PICS BELOW)

After a long cold depressito winter we long for the sunny summer days to come so we get to feel the heat and warmth on our skin again. The first month of the season is usually kinder and goes a little hotter by the week but then... July arrives. From the first week you feel the difference and the gates of hell open and unleash their wrath on earth. Then a morning walk to your nearest coffee shop turns into a sweat bath where your every step becomes a fight for breath and air. Thats the moment when you think you wanna strip down to your last piece of clothing and jump into the nearest fountain, lake, river or any stream of cold refreshing water to get your strength back again. Dont get me wrong, i love summer and i wouldnt change it for the world 😅☀️🌊Stay hydrated and under shade at sun's peak. You got this!

ok thats all for now! x

Macro Mondays Weekly Challenge

Theme: " Contained"

Your visit, faves and kind words are much appreciated!

Thank you! 😊 HAPPY Macro Mondays!

For Macro Mondays the theme is: EDC (Every Day Carry). I always have a little water bottle in my bag. This one is a favourite. Made of copper. Drinking water from it is supposed to have health benefits. It is very pretty too.

I made a mistake on shooting this but I still liked it enough to share. I feel the whole image has a refreshing vibe to it with the rain drops on a fresh new piece of grass.

Temperatures due to hit 30 degrees plus in London today. Likely to be our hottest day of the year so far.

Thanks for visiting......

All the best......

Hike in the snow! I planned to go skiing on 1-1-17. Found the resort too crowded and took a hike instead, with the heavy nikon gear. Usually I x country ski or snow shoe here. Could hear x country skiers greeting others with " Happy New Year!"

summer is most definitely here... it's been, hot, hot, hot! mid-90's and sub-tropical humidity.

anywhere near the water is where i want to be. :-)
