While having some nice Trappist beers, the expected rain came. And how refreshing it was. After savouring the first moments, all we had to do is grab our glasses and take shelter under one of the big black sun shades and continue talking & drinking.
In the BG are De Zwaan (UNstudio) , the Belvédère (Piano) and De Rotterdam (OMA).
Shot with my new cell phone, a Note 10 Lite, I was surprised by the quality of the wide-angle lens and the malleability of the file.

Nothing more refreshing than sitting in the cool waters of the Kuang Si falls on a hot day! The waterfalls are a travertine falls that descend over a series of limestone ridges, located southwest of Luang Prabang, Laos.

Wishing my Flickr friends a fantastic weekend. I may be absent for a while (alas, my camera froze and died on me!) but your images will continue to inspire me during what I hope will be only a short photographic drought!
The theme for “Smile on Saturday” for the 4th of December is “ribbons”. For this theme, I needed to look no further than my dining table! I love ribbon and I always keep and recycle ribbons given to me on gifts. I think it is a shame to waste them after only one use. Some ribbons I keep and use for photography and craft projects. This ribbon I will keep. Owing to ongoing lockdowns in Melbourne throughout this year, I only recently caught up with a very close friend of mine who gave me my Easter gift (yes, it has been that long since I last saw her). Her Easter gift to me (a beautiful book of black and white photography to inspire me even more) was wrapped beautifully and tied with this rather delicious ribbon featuring colourful watermelon slices.
I usually wind my ribbons up around my right index and middle fingers to then store them away, so when the theme was announced, I simply pulled out the ribbon in a long curl and carefully arranged it to create this rather abstract photo of my refreshing ribbon. I do hope that you like my choice for the theme and that it makes you smile!
A can of tonic water straight out of the fridge - condensation forming on the top of it as it warms up. Was put to good use with some gin ...

Itatiaia Park:
This has been a favorite spot with nature watchers and adventurers since the 19th century. It's the birthplace of mountain climbing in Brazil. In addition to fresh-water swimming, the park offers a host of things to do and see. Nature walks, mountaineering, bird watching, and rappel are some of your options. (RJ - BRAZIL)
