Macro Monday theme: Refreshment
Nothing is quite as tasty and refreshing as a strawberry picked fresh from the garden.
After being at lake Wägital since 5 o'clock in the morning, the sun finally made it over the high mountain to warm up the surrounding. Even in summer it can be pretty chilly within the alpine region.

The Snowflakes are blooming all over my garden, getting ready to welcome spring in style.
However the past few days have been rainy and overcast, so as soon as the sun tried to peek through the clouds I ran out and grabbed a few shots.
With the extreme heat in Toronto this week, 30 to 35 Celsius with Humidex values of 40 to 45, I dug up an older image to chill up :D

It has started to get really hot here at home, so I though I would show a photo of Diaz Lake where we camped last Oct. It rained a couple of days and it was so beautiful.
NS SD70M 2583 presents a refreshingly EMD face on the point of city-bound doublestacks on the Chicago Line at Whiting, Indiana. While this popular spot has lost its classic Pennsy signals, the Amtrak station here is frozen in the 80s, providing some flavor.

I would have preferred a beer, but this glass of lemonade helped cool me down in the horrible heat yesterday. However, I drank half the glass before taking the picture for my 'squared circle' project......
