I was a little to late for the "show me game" but here is my Refreshing beverage for the day. I was surprised that my dish towel made such a nice backdrop :-D
On a hot day, a bowl of nice cold ice cream with salted caramel sauce is quite refreshing. For 119 pictures in 2019, #84 "refreshing"
I walked outside for a few minutes while convalescing from Covid and this chipping sparrow did not even try to jump out of that birdbath when I came by!
Now back to recovery ....
Take Aim Cool Down challenge
After the late October bomb cyclone in Northern California, streams are now full and watersheds recharged. The sight of recharged streams makes great fodor for the camera.
Me and my cousin went up to Poring Hot Spring at Kinabalu National Park yesterday for some possible waterfall shoot but there were so many visitors at the big waterfall I ended up with this small ‘waterfall’. The big waterfall is at the upper level of this spot. I did shoot a few but its all crap with ghostly people image on my photos. We decided to jump and swim (big waterfall not this one) and spend couple of hours swimming & lolling around the pool. It was fun and the water were very refreshing: D
Of cos I bring an extra cloth :D

Todays challenge for the daily shoot was It's summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Make a photo of a cool, refreshing drink. Go for something creative.
As you can see I failed on the Creative aspect of this challenge, but this was nice to drink down after taking this shot very refreshing
Shot in the morning after some rain from the previous day. Appreciating the small things with macro.
Taken for my Get pushed challenge for Round 21. This is a group where photographers get paired up, they challenge each other to take photos of things they wouldn't normally. I was paired with Basselal, he has a wonderful stream (you really should check out his stream) .After a few fmail exchanges we decided that we would challenge ourselves to the same thing......................a vintage ad!
Well I had a few ideas going around in my head, but saw these vintage style bottles in our supermarket (we do not see them that often anymore), so I thought why not...........I looked at some of the old slogans that Coca-Cola used and loved this one from the 1920's, I thought it went so well with my daughters glass :-)
Just wish I had not blown the lemon, but the rain started soon after I got this shot, so had to give up!
This was also taken for the T189 52 week project where the theme is "H is for Happiness", this was great fun to do and brought smiles to mine and my kids faces, so happiness all round.
Come check out my BLOG and let me know what you think, today I have posted about splash shots. I would would love to see you over there too.
