There's a story behind this photo. I had stopped to tie my shoelace, and I thought I heard someone sneaking up behind me. At first, I thought it was a pickpocket and I sneaked a glance behind me while still upside down. It was then that I saw the "different point of view" and thought of taking such a photo!

The AMC Rebel (known as the Rambler Rebel in 1967) is a midsized car produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the 1967 until the 1970 model year. It replaced the Rambler Classic. The Rebel was replaced by the similar AMC Matador for the 1971 model year. The Rebel was positioned as the high-volume seller in the independent automaker's line of models.
Also new for 1968 was the Rebel 550 Convertible, the last AMC convertible, which replaced the American. The 550 was the base level convertible as the top trim version moved from 770 to the SST model joining the two-door hardtop. The two SST body styles featured more trim and features that included individually adjustable and reclining front seats, as well as simulated air-intakes ahead of the rear wheels. The interiors of AMC's Rebel made extensive use of a new olefin fiber carpeting.

A small vignette I did tonight...I wanted to display those awesome rebel Hoth troopers I got from BF VA 2015. The cannon was just a bonus, and is my first attempt. I'll probably do another in the future.

taken for Our Daily Challenge - a blast from the past
Surprisingly challenging to do a decent job with. The labels are old and rather faded and indistinct. Adding additional lighting creates unwanted reflections off the black discs. I've settled for this one and did way more sharpening than I would normally resort to.
The large record is a 78 rpm of The Three Little Pigs that was old already by the time it was handed down to me. My brother is 15 years older so it probably dates 1950 or maybe a couple years before. I found the speed of the 78's rotation mesmerizing and I actually liked all the cracks and pops and hisses. It made it somehow more exotic.
I probably got the Mary Poppins record when the movie came out in 1964. I remember being very excited about seeing it in the theater and I listened and sang along to the record over and over and over.

Sixth Plate Tintype of a Confederate soldier probably from LaGrange , Georgia. He wears a open belt buckle barely visible known as a Georgia frame belt buckle. The first Confederate I have added to my collection in a long time.
De serie omC zijn vooroorlogse motorrijtuigen waarvan de afkorting staat voor: OlieMotorrijtuig de C staat daarbij voor 3e klasse.
De serie omC werden gebouwd en ingezet in de jaren 20, ze werden veel gebruikt op lokale spoorlijnen, ter vervanging van de lokale stoomtreinen welke duurder in gebruik waren.
Ze zijn goed te herkennen aan hun uiterlijk die veel weg heeft van de mat '24 waarbij de grootste verschillen zitten in de grootte en het gebruik van diesel.
Nadat de drukte op de gebruikelijke lijn flink kromp is een merendeel in 1949 gesloopt en zijn er drie stuks omgebouwd tot begeleidingsrijtuigen die het tot 1960 volgehouden hebben, hierbij werd de gebruikelijke (cremé)groene kleur (bekend van de mat '24) veranderd naar een lichtbruine kleurenstelling die destijds gebruikelijk was voor begeleidingsrijtuigen. Helaas is er geen enkele bewaard gebleven. En daarom zijn ze bij de SGB een replica aan het bouwen.
Princess Leia is gathering the rebel commandos in Endor to brief them about their plans to destroy the Shield bunker. They are standing by the Head Hunter Speeder (camouflage version) used by the commandos to infiltrate the Empire defense lines.

I used a textured background (with a green-blue-purple gradient) to help frame this Tank Girl cosplayer. As Tank Girl is a bit of a "gritty" character, I thought the textured background would work well with the character and the colors mimicked her hair colors.

Seems like the rebels have captured a prototype Hovertank and modified it to fit their needs.
In this case its seems they have added a DShK heavy machine gun. They also removed the side mounted cannons as they made the vehicle too clumsy in urban environments and removing them improved the weight of the vehicle.
Due to its forward facing dual cannons, its role against conventional tanks and vehicles is rather limited and will mostly likely be used for armored breakthroughs against fortifications & as well as serving as a troop carrier.
It can be somewhat seen as a armored technical truck and it has many possible variations and uses.

This is my first version of the rebel modified hover tank, I have some other versions that you guys will see in the very near future that are pretty neat as well! I don't know what it is about this set but I really liked it and for me is one of the better Star Wars sets in recent memory. And although I had already published some similar concept to this one before, this time I have more depth to it.
I also love how the rebels seem to fit quite well with the vehicle, well I suppose that could be said about most rebels in captured vehicles haha. And having them have Brickarms AKs feels meant to be!
