A Rebel Commando is a Rebel Trooper trained for special forces operations. Rebel Commandos fought in the Battle of Endor. As well trained soldiers, Rebel Commandos were often used for scouting and demolition missions. The commandos on Endor were a special 12-man team with members from all seven Regiments of the Alliance Special Forces, they helped out Princess Leia, Chewbacca and Han Solo blow up the shield generator to the Death Star II.
“Every woman is a rebel, and usually in wild revolt against herself.” - Oscar Wilde
[This was by far the most strenuous self-portrait I've completed to date. Skating down the street to the location carrying my backpack filled with my camera gear, neon spraypaint, tripod in my left hand, four-foot-tall ladder in my right... I had to climb up a significant hill lugging everything, and don't get me started on the ten-second timer I had to use. But the fact that it was exhausting made it that much more satisfying. I was also blissfully reminded of my teen years--skating and painting. When nothing mattered but when I was out of school so I could go outside and roam.]

So today, while exhibiting the Battle of Hoth diorama, I built a new section of the rebel trench - and learned that a turret in front of the shield generator isn't a great idea. Building at the show was a positive experience, however, as people were interested in what we were doing and it was progressing.
A customized Lego 10019 Ultimate Collector Series Rebel Blockade Runner. I built this over four years ago and kept it in storage for most of that time. I recolored the starship to match the markings of Bail Organa's consular ship from Revenge of the Sith. I recently learned that the ship seen in the film is actually a CR-70 Corvette and was retconned by Lucasfilm after the film released. I actually LOVE the CR-70 design because it is more compact than the CR-90. I have begun designing a smaller CR-70 Corvette MOC that will be more accurate to the film and not just a custom version of a UCS set.
Every night I read to my son, before he sleeps, some pages from the Emilio Salgari novel "The Tigers of Mompracem"....
...The Tigers of Mompracem are a band of rebel pirates fighting against the colonial power of the Dutch and British empires. They are led by Sandokan, the indomitable Tiger of Malaysia, and his loyal friend Yanez de Gomera, a Portuguese wanderer and adventurer... In my son's dreams (and in mine also!!) I became a pirate, a terrible Mompracem pirate fighting for freedom and justice against the power...
Amongst every crowd, there is an individual who is unique, who stands out, who is truly original in his thinking.
We fail to recognize the rebels among us, but all it takes sometimes is a change in our point of view.

There's a story behind this photo. I had stopped to tie my shoelace, and I thought I heard someone sneaking up behind me. At first, I thought it was a pickpocket and I sneaked a glance behind me while still upside down. It was then that I saw the "different point of view" and thought of taking such a photo!
