End she told me to have a great weekend, and she didn't mind that my days are crazy sometimes, maybe just because my city
never sleeps...
And I'm here, looking at this "Slave Boat", and thinking about the biggest party in the face of earth, thinking of Carnival, the biggest, the loudest, the most amazing time ever created.
And the samba beat going and going in my brain, (yep, the buzzing that drives me crazy as well), sharing the same space.
And is Carnival, it's samba sweat and kisses, it's time to chill, to enjoy and celebrate life, ( also keep life as we know going, lots of November babies), it's time to forget about life, to be a part of a fantasy world, be whatever you want to be, and maybe, forget about our demanding schedules, and believe systems..
It's carnival, and guess what?
My country is closed for business, resistance, that is the part that I love the most, the people against the machine, it reminds me that, today, yesterday, last century, this Slave boat, transported souls, people and as a natural cause, transported resistant people...
Cheers....
This is not a slave boat no more....
We're all rebels...

I went to a Route 66 car show this past Sunday in the neighboring town of Towanda. Route 66 is an historic route that connected Chicago to L.A. and there is a little chunk of it that runs a few miles from my town. 66 is more of an historic route now days as the interstate system is the new path of choice. But for fans of nostalgia, Americana, and classic cars, 66 lives on and gives travelers and enthusiasts blasts from the past. On this day, classic cars lined up on the old stretch of 66 and showed off to a welcoming crowd. I just loved the paint job on this one.

I would like to express a sincere gratitude to all parents who educate their children and drag them through galleries, exhibitions and other perfectly lit buildings.
They may not appreciate it but the sneaky photographers do. And please let them run!! Specially in and out the doors!!
Thank you!!

Although I'm not happy about the clones I'm really excited for upcoming second season! Vader as main Villian? New Inquisitors? C'mon this show gonna rock!
I never got close enough to Rebel to pet them ... maybe that's where the name comes from. I did notice them watching me cautiously from underneath one of the trees while I was photographing the chickens, but when I approached to pet and greet them they ran off.

let's commit a hate crime
....if i can't be loved, then I'll be hated.
I'm disconnected
I'm uninspired
I'm burning in water
I'm drowning in fire
I'm trapped inside my mind
beneath these piles of stinking life
you use this abuse to keep me conquered
you're so absurdly common
vacant faces
brainless strangers
sputtering, stuttering insect language
I'm the creature you created
everyday i grow jaded
calloused and exasperated
if I'll never be loved
then I'll be hated
I'm one of the
freaks, the fagots,
the geeks, the savages,
rogues, rebels, dissident devils,
artists, martyrs, infidels ...
do we sit still
under attack?
or do we start pushing back?
never back up
never back down
& FIGHT.

your ridicule is just typical antics

Canon Digital Rebel 300D / EF-S 24/2.8 STM
I took this photo with the first digital SLR I ever purchased, way back in 2005. Most cameras I've had over the years I've sold off, but this one I held onto. And though the body shows clear signs of wear, the important bits still work. I take it off the shelf and shoot some frames with it whenever I'm feeling nostalgic.
But last night I wanted to put this old camera through some more serious paces -- what would it be like to shoot it the same way I've been shooting my behemoth GFX and cutting-edge Nikon Z? I put a 24mm pancake lens on the thing and placed it on a tripod and walked around some northern bits of Santa Clara.
And here's the results. There's all the things you'd expect: fewer megapixels, less sharpness, more grain, less information in the shadows and highlights. But the overall photo? From the thumbnail alone, I don't know if I'd be able to tell the difference.
The biggest difference by far was the experience of actually shooting the photos -- that's when I was really feeling the two decades of technology. Composing, focusing, exposing are all so much more difficult with the Digital Rebel than with new cameras. The meter is easily overwhelmed by bright light sources, focus is a guessing game, reviewing images practically pointless on the tiny little screen that doesn't even show you the actual RAW file anyway, and composing harkening back to the old film days where "what you see is only sort of what you get".
I don't think any of this is a profound revelation -- it all seems kind of obvious in retrospect. But it was fun to do anyway, and as I edit through the shots I'll post them up here to share them with you. This one might've been my favorite from the night.
