This is my uncle Ray, the last survivor of my parent's generation in my family. He was a little embarassed about his wheels at first, but only at first. This was the first time he had visited his wife's grave in 15 years. So we went down for moral support. More to follow

Gamma Ray is a power metal band from Hamburg, northern Germany, founded and fronted by Kai Hansen after his departure from the German power metal band Helloween. Hansen is the current lead vocalist, guitarist as well as the chief songwriter of Gamma Ray. The band is known as one of the most prominent bands of the German heavy metal scene.
In 1988, after four years with the German power metal band Helloween, guitarist and songwriter Kai Hansen decided, for reasons that are still the subject of much debate, to leave the group. Hansen claimed that Helloween had become too big for him to handle, although the group's troubles with financial issues and their record company, Noise Records, most likely played a part as well. He proceeded to do some studio work with German power metal band Blind Guardian and in 1989 decided to form his own project with long-time friend Ralf Scheepers, former vocalist of the band Tyran Pace.
Kai Hansen revealed, in an interview with Metal Blast in April 2013 that their eleventh album, Empire of the Undead would have a "more thrashy" sound. In the same interview, Dirk Schlächter announced that the band would do a headlining tour following its release.[9] Empire of the Undead was released in March 2014, despite Gamma Ray's studio being completely destroyed by a fire.
In October 2015, it was announced that Frank Beck would be a new lead vocalist of Gamma Ray, in addition to Kai Hansen. This was due to Hansen's degrading vocals due to lengthy tour schedules, as well as Hansen's desire to have more freedom onstage.

We watched a fever (group) of sea rays near the beach. They were slow and methodical in their movements...until THIS GUY started jumping like a crazy ray!!! Up down, up down, up down....he just kept going. None of the others jumped. Just him.
I think he was showing off for the bikinis on the beach... :-)

Atlantic Electric Torpedo Ray (Torpedo nobiliana)
This roughly 5-feet long creature washed ashore on Ellis Landing Beach, Brewster, Cape Cod Massachusetts.
This was roughly a week after Hurricane Sandy passed by. The creature's eyes and nostrils have been eaten.
