Here's another, earlier view of that sunset, off of some road, in the Palouse. When that light started exploding, and those sun rays were getting more pronounced, we had to stop and get it while we could. It didn't matter that we didn't make our point of origin, as this was plenty good for us.
I had to desaturate this one a bit as well.
Twice a year, the Ray Wallace emerges from behind the camera to see if there will be a bountiful harvest. Captured here in all its glory!

T-Ray is the main nemesis of the Tigersharks, another Ted Wolf cartoon; similar to Thundercats and Silverhawks though much less succuessful. The accompanying toyline suffered a similar fate; as not many people have heard of the show, even fewer knew about the toys. As a kid I had Mako the main hero of the toon, his action feature was similar to that of Monstarr (Kenner's Silverhawks) in that his torso opened allowing his head to change. T-Ray's battle-matic action feature consists of a button on his back that when pressed raises his right arm and turns his head to the left. It's supposed to be used in conjunction with his whip but without it he just looks like he trying to order another round.
This guy is actually one of my flea market finds so he's not in the greatest condition but not too bad considering. While I couldn't name him I knew it was a Tigersharks figure; really had that LJN feel about him. :D

A young child sleeping while the rays of the hot mid-day sun shine through. This is Jeneva camp - a Pakistani refugee camp (more like a settlement now) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Pakistanis got stuck here when Bangladesh regained independence and were unable to migrate back as India now divides the two countries. Approximately 20,000 families live here, in very poor conditions without support or help from the government.

Went back to the hospital for a 6 month follow up after surgery. The 5th metacarpal was the bone that contained the enchondroma (benign tumour). As you can see, by the now mostly white bone the graft has taken well, and new bone is growing. And most importantly the enchondroma has not returned!
Because it is looking so good, I don't have to go back for another year for follow up.
The diferences about the blu-ray and DVD are so notorious, every tiny detail is watched perfectly, and the sound.. amazing!
The Blu-ray player still is much expensive, about US$400, but the quality makes me recommend it to you.
You really oughta view it large on black.
Lake Ray Hubbard, from the Kayak launch point at Rowlett Lakeside Park in Rowlett, Texas. Took this shot on the way back from shooting an abadonment that didn't work out so well because of the cloudy/foggy weather. 15 minutes after this shot was taken, the fog had thickened so much that you could no longer even see the tree stumps in the water. I felt like I was having a Bob West moment! :-)

French Journal Day 20 (Travel Diary Day 100)

100 days of writing this journal – wonderful! To celebrate it, I convinced myself that I had meningitis.
My neck hurt this morning. I checked for symptoms on the internet. I’ve probably got another few days left in me according the medical site.
It’s been a while since I checked my symptoms online. Last time it turned out I had Parkinson’s again.
This year I’ve had cancer (a few times), MS, rabies (Rachel’s fault), flu (that one was real), twitchy eye syndrome that I couldn’t diagnose, and various mild ailments that had the potential to become much more serious.
The sun is shining here, but still no Betsy. French mechanics really aren’t in a hurry. I wonder what she’s doing right now?
I need her for tomorrow. I’ve planned a load of beautiful spots to photograph and the weather looks promising.
We fed the dogs this morning, as we do every morning, and let the girls out to do their business while Byron was finishing up. He ate his grub, looked around, walked 2 metres and had a massive number two on the floor. Cleaning it up, I was close to vomiting.
That’s not how a person should start their day. I hadn’t even drank a coffee at that point.
Today’s Photo – The Rays of Light
Every morning I walk up the long gravel path to open the main gates with a coffee in my hand, and every morning I look for photo-worthy scenes. Most mornings there’s a bit of residue colour in the sky from the partially hidden sunrise. I knew the sun rose behind this particular tree, and I’d been hoping for the last seven days that I’d see it at some point.
After cleaning up Byron’s poop, I made my way to the gate slightly later than usual. On my return journey, I looked up and saw what I’d been waiting a week for. Kn0wing I’d only have a few minutes left to capture it, I sprinted back to the house, got my gear and ran back. The sun was almost free from the tree when I managed to take the shot.
This is actually the first ever HDR image I’ve published on any site that wasn’t processed using Photomatix. I used Oloneo, and was very pleasantly surprised. It was so intuitive. I have to really test it out soon and write a review on HDR One before I can decide if I prefer it to Photomatix.
After tone mapping the photo, I did actually manually blend some of the original exposures into the final image, so this isn’t purely Oloneo.

Here's a nice shiny foto of my fave latex beach called Rubber-ray bay :) I used my latex done to take this shiny foto :D It's called Rubber-ray bay as lots of shiny squeaky rubbery latex rays love to come here to play :3 and I love swiming in the latex polish sea and shiny-sunbathing under the latex palm trees :)
