The Rakes on the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2009

Huckleberry Rake Model (2011) - Real huckleberry rakes are about 2/3 the size of a shoebox. You comb the rake through a bush, and the berries fall into the container. Easier and faster than hand picking. I made this for a woman named Patricia (aka the Berry Fairy), who introduced me to the rake method of picking. The piece is about an inch tall.

It really needs to be about 2" lower front and rear.

I raked 6 more bags of leave tonight. I raked 8 last Thursday that were picked up on Friday morning. I almost didn't do this, I started at around 6pm. I had a little fire in the garden with a tofu snack afterwards. I woke this morning to the sound of cars driving on wet pavement and strong rain. My weather mojo is on! I got this done in time, no wet leaves raking for me!
