It is haying season in my part of the world. This was taken a few years ago. The barn has since been torn down. A shame if you ask me. The background texture is Texture - 314 by Lenabem Anna.

Another photo taken on outing with "The Breakfast Club".

Seen at Zane's grandmothers' old home place in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

A couple donkeys pal around on a lazy Autumn day. The rake Is also at rest for a harvest season. A fence made from a road gaurd rail should hold them in the pen area .............HFF!

The harvest season is pretty well done ad the corn fields all raked up. Bales are ready to go next. A common October and early November sight.

First you cut the field...long 8-10 foot side mower....next day you use the hay rake to put it in neat little rows and to turn it over, so it can dry. Then it's ready to bail...in this case big round bails.

Wriggly sine wave at the top of a plain corrugated iron fence separating two suburban gardens. It is common practice here to slope the height of the fence down as it approaches the front of the property.

Just kidding about the Roman numerals. For as the Good Book tells us, "numbereth not thine works, unless thou art Led Zeppelin..."

The Flickr Lounge weekly theme - seasonal changes

Raked Sky - Last night’s sunset was beautiful and reminded me of a raked Zen garden. I was on my way home and saw some clouds in the sky and decided to try for a sunset. I headed out to Willow Lake because it was close and I didn’t have much time to get somewhere. The sunset was started off ok with some nice pastels then faded away. I was packing up when the sky started to turn red so I quickly pulled out my gear again and snapped this one. The sky in this direction only glowed like this for about a minute before fading an other parts started glowing with deep red colors. Hope you enjoy the photo.

Technical Info: Shot on a Nikon D810 paired with a Tamron 15-30. One exposure/shot at ISO:64 f/18 2sec. and 17mm. Shot in RAW developed in Lightroom. Shot to be underexposed so the colors are richer then I increased the shadows, added a little contrast and sharpened and dropped the vibrancy a to a -4 and removed some saturation in the rocks. Then used Affinity to remove some dust spots that were on my lens/sensor.

I moved backwards and the sun moved too, sweeping across this small landscape and I could not leave this one behind despite the similarity ...
