Unlike RailsConf 2006 there was a sizeable PC contingent at Rails Edge. In fact, no one at my table had a Macintosh. That didn't prevent any of us from feeling bitterly disappointed when we didn't win the MacBook Pro given away by 5runs. The winning ticket was 46394. I had 46391. This is a particular example of rail wear, with corrugation on the rail surface. The trams make a roaring noise as they go over. This is a well-known phenomenon, known as 'roaring rails'. It tends to recur when the rails are replaced.

Making the window rails, I'm guessing at how to do it.

My neighbour was trying to tell me redwood frames went out with the ark!, I tried to explain about the romantic notions of "All wood construction"

We both had a good laugh!
