The box included a bunch of rails, all blue, of three various moulds. The first is a straight piece of rail, which is still used (I'm thinking of the ones from the Fantasy Era Dwarves' Mine). The other two are compatible with it. One is a bit longer than the other, and is meant for the outside curve, whereas the shorter is for the inside.

We took a leisurely hike on part of the old railway route that has been converted to walking trails. It was really peaceful considering part of the trail goes right through the edge of town. There were lots of blackberry bushes just starting to ripen, so we'll definitely have to go back to pick some berries soon.

Being a member of the rail family we were fortunate even to have this good of a view. If you look carefully at this photo there is one of at least two young birds (in black) in the top left of the picture feeding with this adult bird.
Rails and Stones
My hometown is really small - so is the railway station. It's pretty safe to walk on the rails - there are only a few trains coming every day.
