We spent our last day in the southwest wandering around Old Town Albuquerque. We'll definitely have fond memories of the people we've met (especially Helen and John) and the natural beauty that we've seen. We'll be back!
Albuquerque ' s Old Town is colorful and quirky. This trio of images is part of the blend. This one was outside an Indian - owned art and crafts store.

I have been busy sewing for Blythecon Europe in June, but I still have a lot to do and plan! It's the first time I will have a stall and I am nervous/excited :)
I am a student so I spent the Easter holidays sewing. These are some of the outfits I am working on. I've been getting inspiration from many things. The other day I started a little tumblr blog here: cosmiadoll.tumblr.com/ with the intention of having a little place other than flickr to share and write about doll related things. If you are on tumblr please follow me, I would love to follow some blogs too!

Robin Hood's Bay is full of these small yards and alleyways. I found a very quirky door that messes with your brain a little.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. I learned that sentence in high school typing class. It uses all the letters of the English alphabet and teaches people how to type using all of their fingers on each hand. Fast-forward a few decades (okay, 3 decades) and I find that I spend most of my working day, and too much of my free time, at a keyboard.
I was struck, therefore, by the different letters and the key placement on this old Portuguese typewriter I ran across on my recent trip to Lisbon. Not sure why it hadn't truly registered before that moment that even on a Qwerty keyboard, each language's letters and symbols would have to have a home. It was a new and interesting thought, so I think I'll always be on the look-out now for other countries' keyboards. What special characters are to be found and where are they positioned? Where are the brackets, and the # key, and my own personal favourite, the ampersand?
After a long time not posting, here's a literal picture of me turning my back at things. After my comeback to my country and my good ol' routine, I realized I want to finish my degree as soon as possible to try and escape routine for a little bit longer. My price for that is dropping everything i can to dedicate myself integraly to my graduation title, which implied in a lower number of pictures on my little DSLR and a life with no hobbies.
