Not a cartoon drawing but a quirky looking reflected building.

A distorted waterside reflection. Can you see the boats?

The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood. I remember wishing there was snow in Florida, and how jealous we used to get of those Christmas specials with kids playing in the snow. The first time I saw snow was when I was in college in Illinois. I woke.....

At Lake Windermere,

Cumbria, UK

It’s ages since I blogged anything by !gO! and I have to apologise to them profusely! They just kind of slipped off my radar which is a shame which I love their quirky rustic fantasy designs. This is an outfit that came out last month and it’s just adorable, especially when I pair it with the second of the new Truth hairs that can be got at Uber. I’ve shown it along with its optional cap, thankfully not adorned with any Tr*mp-like message!

Nothing like a visit with our grandchildren. (a weekend in San Diego)

...Along the Cinder Track (Cloughton to Scarborough UK)

This is the new entrance to Adelaide railway station after a new hotel and casino were built along side. Interesting design choices.

This amazing and quirky place was at the top of my “must see” list on our recent Route 66 road trip. I had seen many photos of it, and knew that I just had to visit the Cadillac Ranch. It is on the outskirts of Amarillo, Texas, and we tried to see it on our way to Sedona. However, a large truck had overturned and the road was closed! I was promised that we could stop on our way back home, and that we did! It was every bit as fantastic as I thought it would be! The great beasts were covered with layers of graffiti and paint. As the Texas wind tried to blow me in to one of the empty cars, my dream of photographing the Cadillac Ranch came true....here’s the proof!

Quirky Cat Leo is guarding the shipment of cat food that I just got in, as soon as it came in he had too claim it as his, at some point maybe I will be able to unpack it, but I am sure he will help, shot in North Carolina.

Wellington's Botanic Gardens dressed for summer. I liked the unusual colour combination.

Burke's Pass Camping Ground fence made of old ski's. There is also a very quirky place filled with old cars, Texaco Gasoline Pumps and other assorted rusty things of sufficient value that notices are telling you not to open car doors ( too many spiders webs perhaps!).

Today we left the mountains and the lakes and headed back to Christchurch. Just a few more days and my NZ trip will be over! Time is flying past. HFF

I discovered this quite unusual state of repair on a side street in Riga, Latvia. Its logic defies me but perhaps there's a reason for its unusual appearance.

A bit of fun

Daily Dog Challenge: Quirky

On our walks, on a hot day, Kahn loves to roll in the sand! Quirky!

He'll slow down and give a "Please-look" before rolling in the sand. Sometimes he get sand in his eye, ears, mouth! The hotter he feels the more times he "needs" to roll!

A stop at the waterhole on the way can help reduce his heat😂

I came across some rather odd looking, though quite pretty little purple flowers along a trail at a local park recently. Perhaps someone can provide an ID.

Thanks to all who have IDed these flowers as Asters.

For the first time in many, many months my husband and I ate at a restaurant. It was a hot day, about 30C (86F) and we sat at a table outside in the shade. What a treat it was!

This is one of the windows at the restaurant.

Happy Window Wednesday!

Not strictly true but Huw bought this owl sculpture with moving wings in the Wales Airshow and kept it safe in the MS Society Swansea Group's Tent . It now sits at the top of my garden.
