The clock is still ticking and we'll get back to Stanley soon enough. But here are a few shots from around the Inveresk campus of both the University of Tasmania Academy of Arts and the Museum.

When I put this set together, it was a rainy and sad day, it seemed like summer wasn’t going to last long this year. It reminded me of heartbreak, big lonely teardrops falling from the heavens.
And just like all summer showers, it ended and the sun broke through again.

"Some people take pictures. I find them." Jane Bown
I went to see the Jane Bown exhibition at The Kings Place Gallery in London today.
Jane Bown only ever used a Rolleiflex TLR camera in the early part of her career, and switched to Pentax and an Olympus OM1. She only ever worked with available light and preferred to keep her camera set to 1/60th or 1/125th at f2.8. She got so skilled at judging light that she didn't need a light meter, she would simply look at he back of her hand and how the light would fall across it to gage her camera settings.
Exposures: Jane Bown: 100 Portraits, in association with The Observer
I took this in Paris on the first 35mm camera I ever owned, a Fujimatic that was held together with masking tape. It had got me through art college and I still think I've taken some of my best shots with it. Sadly I chucked it out a few years ago… wish I'd kept it (sentimental fool, I am).
A quirky shot of gulls, I do know, that is what I wanted to capture.
A beautiful song by David Bowie, Wild is the wind, enjoy :)

I have taken dozens of shots of Great Blue Herons, and am continuously surprised at how different they can look. But this guy, head-on, at near sunset takes the cake.

Straight view of a bronze lion ornament on a wall near the river. Many other such lions exists but only this one has red lips…
This image was captured for the Macro Mondays theme: "silhouette".
(Technical clarification: the 'apparent shadow' in this image is not a shadow at all. It is a silhouette also, layered and slightly offset from the original silhouette).
A Westie is wondering what her Schnauzer friend is up to
Prompt: Create a whimsical 3D cartoon-style digital illustration of two hilariously expressive dogs sitting side by side in a dreamy flower-filled meadow. On the left, depicts a west highland white terrier with big brown eyes, a bewildered expression, and a paw resting on its cheek in a comically exasperated pose. On the right, show a scruffy, salt and pepper Schnauzer with a wildly enthusiastic smile, big black eyes. The right dog wears a wide blue collar with a metallic tag and appears full of energy and awkward charm.
The background features soft-focus open meadow with wildflowers, set against a bright, gentle sky, evoking a light-hearted springtime romance. Use exaggerated features, expressive eyes, and rich fur textures to give both dogs a distinct, comical personality.
Style: Pixar-meets-caricature, 3D cartoon with photorealistic texturing
Mood: Comical, romantic, quirky
Lighting: Soft daylight with natural highlights
Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1)
Resolution: 8K recommended
