December 2016, Port-au-Prince – Through a MINUSTAH-funded Quick Impact Project (QIP), 12 kiosks spread around the village of Merger (Leogane), in the hills above Port-au-Prince, to provide access to clean water to 60, 000 people a day. The Mission implemented more than 1,700 quick impact projects which rehabilitated and constructed public infrastructure such as municipal buildings, courts, prisons, police stations, roads, schools, and water and sanitation systems. Other initiatives included civic education, vocational training, income generation and environmental projects.
