As far as I can remember, there was a question mark at the end of my sentence!
That's how I gathered a load of knowledge, never been afraid to ask a question, so the subject of this image a very useful tool all through my life!
Always hungry for the how and why.
Yet, I, luckily, do not suffer from morbid curiosity about other people. I am a good listener, they can tell me things, I'm interested, but I will rarely ask personal questions.
I don't consider this indifference, I call it respect.
Think before you ask... there are questions... you HAVE to be able to live with the answer!
If and when I want to photograph someone or something, I ask, if the answer is yes, I am happy, if it is no, I respect it, at least I ASKED!

Cosmic smoke & telescope mirrors?
Webb found complex organic molecules similar to smoke or smog in a galaxy more than 12 billion light-years from Earth. This sets a new record for the most distant detection of these big, complicated molecules: bit.ly/43M4YEG
The distant galaxy in question lies behind a much closer foreground galaxy. The gravity of the foreground galaxy is so great that it distorts and magnifies the light of the galaxy behind it, making it easier to see.
In space, where there’s smoke, there are stars — usually. But this galaxy might change astronomers’ long-held belief: These “smoky molecules” were abundant in some areas with little star formation, or were scarce in some areas with active star birth.
Due to how far light from this galaxy had to travel, we’re seeing this galaxy as it was back when the universe was < 1.5 billion years old. The discovery suggests that complex chemistry began occurring in the universe much earlier than we thought.
This image: The galaxy observed by Webb shows an Einstein ring caused by a phenomenon known as lensing, which occurs when two galaxies are almost perfectly aligned from our perspective on Earth. The gravity from the galaxy in the foreground causes the light from the background galaxy to be distorted and magnified, like looking through the stem of a wine glass. Because they are magnified, lensing allows astronomers to study very distant galaxies in more detail than otherwise possible.

The Question:
Why do we let ourselves exist like this? Why should we let ourselves exist with the pain, worry and stress life provides?

So when I created my Flickr account, I made my name EvolvedTurtle. But recently people are seeing it as my real name, which I've chosen to keep private. I've tried changing my screen name but the problem is still there. Does anyone else have the same problem/ know how to fix it?

Bon, alors question nom, je sèche un peu clairement. Mais j’aime bien cet engin.
Une grosse roue, un gros gun, des fusées au cul, un pilote, une artilleuse. En plus il est grosso modo équilibré. C'est-à-dire que je peux lui donner un élan modéré, et que les cockpits resteront à peu près horizontaux.

Today's photo is a test to see if you are a high heel expert.
I have about 85 pairs of heels, most are 4" or higher stiletto heels. I really like the look of the heels in this photo, but they are by far the hardest to walk in. The question is, why?
Hints: It is not because of the heel height (these are 5") and it's not because they don't fit my feet (they fit perfectly).
“Hi Bertie, another sunny day.” Said Sky smiling.
“Hello Sky, where have you been? I did look and couldn’t find you.”
“I have been talking to Wellington but he soon gets fed up with me asking him questions. So, I went to Captain, he fell asleep while I was asking him questions. Perhaps it is me?”
“I don’t think so Sky, probably the questions. What did you want to know Sky?”
“Lots of things Bertie, I just don’t understand so much about different things.”
“I see, I’m not good at answers but I’ll help if I can Sky.”
“I was asking Captain about the grass and why was it green. I wanted to know where it came from for if you pull a bit up it isn’t green under the ground.”
“What did he say?”
“I don’t know as he used long words and I’m not good at long words. Then he fell asleep.”
“It is a complicated question Sky, maybe ask Posh when he arrives.”
“I could, but I have lots more questions. Bertie, do you know where clouds go and why some are white and others are grey and then some look to be much higher up than others? Elli, flies right through them and yet they don’t seem to break like I expected them to. Why don’t they break?”
“My word Sky, you do have a lot of questions. Here is Posh, perhaps he’ll be able to answer some of them for you.” Said Bertie giggling.
“Posh, will you answer some questions for me please?”
“I can try Sky but there are questions that even bears don’t yet know the answer to.”
“Well Posh, I was asking where do clouds come from and where do they go to? Why are they different colours and fly at different heights?”
“Well, Elli is the pilot so she would have a much better idea of what happens to clouds than I do. I suggest you wait for her to wake up and then ask her.”
“There I told you Sky, the answer was easy and it just takes someone as clever as Posh to put your straight.” Said Bertie smiling.
“I’ll do that Posh, now why is grass green and where does it come from? One day it can be very short then a few days later it has got much bigger and yet if you dig it up there is no green stuff underground.”
“That is easy Sky, grass is green because it is a nice colour and it is said that the insects and creepy-crawlies that live in the grass, paint it that colour at night time. There we are Sky, all your questions answered so now you have to think of something different to ask.”
“I would like blue or maybe purple coloured grass. Could you speak to the insects and creepy-crawlies and tell them to paint it a different colour?”
“No Sky, they are like buzzy things and don’t speak bear. Talking about buzzy things, how about we open a jar of honey between us?
“First sensible thing he has said if you ask me.” Said Bertie grinning.
“First thing he has said that I understand.” Said Sky.
Posh grunted his disapproval but said nothing.
“Bertie, I have lot more questions like where does the moon go in the day and why does it look like a ball? Then again, the man has hair, well a bit, and that grows long if left alone but our fur doesn’t seem to get any longer, why is that? Plus, why can’t us bears make our own honey so we don’t have to rely upon buzzy things?”
“Best of luck with that lot, Bertie.” Said Posh smiling.
“Let me ask you a question Sky, why is it we only have three jars of honey left now when there was five or six here early this morning?” Said Bertie.
“Questions, questions, questions, that is all I ever get asked.” Said Sky as he dipped his paw into a fresh jar of honey watched by Posh and Bertie.

My suggestion is.
Spray myself with strong perfume, then dance a close and sensual rumba with the girl of my dreams.

It has been a continuing pleasure to be able to reach out with a telephoto lens to capture wildlife up close. Many of the subjects I have been able to photograph have allowed me to see details that the naked eye cannot see.
It also brings up some questions at times. For example, I wondered how long a bill a pelican has when it is in the egg right before it hatches, and what the composition of the bill is.
One informative site says: "When a chick hatches, its bill is short and stubby, with closed eyes and bare, pink skin. Over the next few days, the chick's eyes open, down feathers begin to grow, and its bill starts to lengthen considerably."
Eventually, the beak of an adult pelican can grow to nearly 20 inches.
I have never touched a pelican's beak, but I have read that the beak consists of a bony structure covered in a hard, keratin sheath on the outside, similar to human fingernails and hair.
The most distinctive part of the pelican, the pouch, is made of elastic, featherless skin that functions like a fishing net to scoop up fish.

I have questions. I mean, if it’s supposed to be hidden, why do you label it with a big yellow sign? Why not erect the one that says “Frap Off. You’re Not Invited”?

When you’re in some very nice place in any country, you love that place ant want to return there some times, you remember one international custom - to trow coin in a lake, river, or fountain...
In Hotel Spaander you don’t need to do it. Just put a coin near antique National Cash Register which you can find here in a restaurant of Hotel Spaander. You will return back to Volendam, for sure...
If to say seriously, such quantity of antiques, collected here in Spaander can surprize any regular person, not just collector, who I am... For collectors that love the old west genre with cowboys and saloons, a brass register is probably on the top of their list of items to collect. Brass cash registers were the trademark for shop owners during the time period of the old west and probably everywhere in the world. Because there were so few made, the brass registers that are still around are coveted by collectors everywhere. Collectors seek after them because they are truly some of the first cash registers ever made here in the USA and help people to take a look back in time to a much simpler era.If you do find one of these types of registers, you should jump on the opportunity to obtain it! That’s why I paid attention on this antique wonder and took it with me (don’t worry, just as a shot).
