Is it interesting or is it ugly or is it both ... or something else?
My friend moved from a place with an amazing seaside view to a cute little cottage in suburban Wellington. Towering over his lovely garden is this beast of a building.
Steve is such an amazing positive dude and he loves his new abode. I'm not sure what he thinks of this behemoth but I'm sure he would see the beauty in it. What absolutely astounds me is that an architect would put big concrete walls with few windows on a pretty much north facing wall. I think they used to call it progress, not sure what they call it now!
I do like the of agapanthus flowers that line the fence however they're considered a pest in New Zealand as they grow so prolifically and drown out any natives that are generally slower growing.

Similar to the Eastern Comma, the Question Mark butterfly is a common summer sight in Southern Ontario.

A volte bastano pochi secondi ed una foto apparentemente da cestinare viene salvata dal primissimo raggio di Sole della giornata che decide di illuminare proprio il treno, mentre la nebbia che nascondeva ogni cosa alla vista si dissolve all'improvviso per rimanere solo quel tanto che basta ad impreziosire la scena.

Well, Jasper pulled his mom over for speeding yesterday. I questioned him on the wisdom of that because she is the one that does most of the feeding and walking and playing and belly rubbing, and... He told me that all humans are held equal under the eyes of the law. She paid the 2 dog bones and was sent on her way, hopefully at a more lawful speed. 😉

On se pose souvent la question C’est quoi l’amour ? il m’a fallu bien des années avant d’en avoir un avant-goût. Il m’a fallu trainer dans ce monde, à errer souvent sans but précis, sans objectif à part celui de subsister dans un univers hostile. L’humanité à toujours été étrange à mes yeux, et un jour, il y a 5 ans de ça j’ai vu une lueur… Mais voila l’amour il a son timing il m’a fallu attendre un peu avant que tu partages ma vie. Il y a 3 ans tout me menait à toi, et nous avons succombés ensemble à une grande aventure. Partagé nos destins, nos chemins, et là j’ai cru en l’humanité. Thank you Annette Allor for properly identifying this butterfly for me. When it's wings are open it shows bright orange top wings. When closed the wings resemble a dead leaf. This one is eating on an over ripe Paw Paw fruit. Upper Marlboro, MD

A shore view of Cloch Lighthouse, located between Gourock and Weymss Bay on the Firth of Clyde. Designed by Smith and Stevenson, it was built in 1796. The light was originally powered by an acetylene flame, but it is now automated and unmanned and is part of a private dwelling. {better large}

That question was heard several times on our drive through a handful of small towns in Western Pa. on Saturday. When we told people it was a Lamborghini they all said "oh yeah". It's a lot of fun introducing people to the Aventador and seeing there reaction as our group of exotics drove by.

The droplets from the thrashing tail of the fish form an almost perfect '?' in the air.
This Great Crested Grebe must be a juvenile, I think, as it was relatively unsuccessful in its fishing attempts. Usually, they bring up a fish every 10 - 20 dives. This bird made at least 50 dives before surfacing with the Perch in question.
One has to move carefully when stalking a fishing Grebe - they get easily spooked by movement on the bank and swim away - I have learned to only move whilst they are underwater and remain very still when they are on the surface, even if they are 20 metres away.
