I have never used anything but Google Picasa since I have been into photography. Google has discontinued it an no longer supports it. I have searched many options and have found nothing that compares. I want something to store, organize, edit and e-mail pictures from. What do you use ?

Answer The Fallowing Questions !~:]

In my question I did not get the chance to say ALL the things that I would have liked to say. The truth is though this competition was very special for so many reason. It was my first competition like this which made it so unique and gave me a huge opportunity to grow and to learn not only with creating but in this amazing world of modeling and fashion! I also got to meet amazing people! We had so much fun and I feel like I made some good friends, who will forever be my Avistars Family! Most importantly though, the sweetest part of this competition was these two right here. We worked so hard. The 3 of us were non-stop. We pushed each other and we encouraged one another. We were driven to one up our best every week! Being surrounded by this kind of talent literally skyrocketed my drive. I was determine to only do my best because they only did their best. Cole quite literally honed their skills of meshing clothing and also learned Substance Painter for this competition. Bubby was knocking out new tricks like I have never seen before! The mesh bubby produced for this competition is beyond!! It is Epic! The rigging, *chefs kiss*. I literally grew 10 fold in my texturing and discovered new and amazing techniques that I will carry through into my creations. There is something so delectable about that kind of creative energy being shared. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us!

In the course of a couple of hours, three or four people left the mark of their nose on the window of the new sliding door, nearly knocking themselves out. So the hostess made a mark on it.

And then she stood for a picture.

Ghosts are now waiting for you!

I have a dozen versions coming up in my mind.

While uploading the photo, I was thinking about giving you some context, but I'd rather leave it up to you.

Macro Monday theme: "Negative Space"

What is more negative than total darkness?

New year, new habits, new choices. time to question yourself.

As may happen - stepped outside the box for a photo of the self..

Question mark butterfly, named for the tiny white mark on the underside of the wing, shaped vaguely like the punctuation symbol. If you look closely you can see the mark on this one as it feeds on juices from the orange slice I put out for birds. I love the shape of the wings on this species. Should one land on a tree branch they can blend in perfectly with leaves and bark.

What is art? What makes a good photograph? What is a flower?

If you’d asked me these questions a few years ago I would have thought that I had an answer for them all. But ever since then I keep asking myself the same questions, so now I am not so sure…

The trouble really began when I heard someone, whom I respected as a photographer, say “A photograph of art is not art.” That struck a chord with me.

The point is that if you photograph a work of a art then your image is a record of the piece. It’s representational or record photography. Unless…

Unless, of course, the photographer puts themselves into the image, adds something creative to say something. It may be the point of view… or the crop. Or lighting or processing. Or something that tells a story, or evokes an emotion in the viewer that is more than the artwork does on it’s own, or different. Therein lies the potential for art.

Now my real problem comes up (apart from the fact I think too much… and a myriad of other things too, no doubt). I have discovered I like taking pictures of flowers.

It’s partly convenience - I have a garden after all. But it’s mainly because I really like their beauty and variety and colours. I tend to see them (when I am feeling romantic or just whimsical) as artworks created by God when he was having a bit of fun (I realise your mileage will vary on that, but I am sure you see my point).

And the difficulty is that I tend to take images of them centre-aligned, top-down, close-up. It’s a record shot of art aspiring to be my art. I’m cheating.

Which (finally!) brings me to this image. I’m trying to do something different. This is an intentional camera wobble macro of a paeony from my garden taken earlier this year.

I hoping to create an image about a flower, rather than of a flower.

But then… what is a flower, really? What does it mean? What is the essence of my experience of them? How do you convey their perfume in an image or the way they move in the breeze...

For the Mittwochsmakro group this week, and for my 100x project on motion.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Macro Wednesday and 100x :)

Observed on the bank of Smallpox Creek in the Galena Territories.

What is going on there that is so funny?? A couple of guesses... of course it can be because of a joke... Imagine how good it should be to make smile this guy! But if I have to bet... the joy of falling through a toboggan is beyond age or species! :D

Castles in the Sky

Song by Ian Van Dahl

~

Do you ever question your life?

Do you ever wonder why?

Do you ever see in your dreams

All the castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Do we build castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Are the castles way up high.

Please tell me why

Do we build castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Are the castles way up high.

Do you ever question your life?

Do you ever wonder why?

Do you ever see in your dreams

All the castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Do we build castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Are the castles way up high.

Please tell me why

Do we build castles in the sky?

Oh tell me why

Are the castles way up high.
