So last spring someone gave this film camera. They literally said "oh you like photography? Here you go!" Its a Canon Eos Rebel G. The thing is, aside from the disposables I used as a kid, I've never had one. But I really want to use it! So if you know anything about film or this particular camera, or just want to share some tips or suggestions please let me know!
So tell me, why do you have a camera?
I take a camera almost everywhere.
For reals?
Yeah.
So tell me something then, why are you taking pictures of those pastries?
I'm trying to finish a roll.
A roll?
Of film.
For reals?
Yeah.
(and on it went)

Taken on the Pines and Prairies Land Trust property Yegua Knobbs Preserve in Bastrop County. This was a birding tour I donated to a Travis Audubon fundraising event silent auction. The winning bidders were Wendy Gordon and Steve Kostelnik. We had a great day.

I am not actually uploading assignment photos as I don't feel like I have it all down yet. I do feel like I have a lot of questions though, so I hope that is ok with everyone!!
According to what I tagged in these pics this is the same autowb as the other pic I just posted. They were taken within minute of each other. So curious what makes the light so blue in this one??? It is just more flat? Because it was through a window and the other was an open door??
It is definitely flat boring winter light in both instances.
I am just not completely sure if this is a white balance thing or exposure thing. I see my ISO was super high here (and my f stop too low for me to get her eyes in focus ;) )
ANy Cc on WB between these two pics appreciated. I know the rest is a mess !!

Question: How does perfectionism influence one’s thoughts and actions?
My perfectionism has consumed and become the center of my life. Everything that does not meet my standards of perfection is deemed "bad". In this drawing the sunflowers are wilted and dying, despite being beautiful. The only living flower is the camellia, which is known to symbolize perfection. It is deliberately placed where the sun is shining as it is the focus of the drawing. The camellia represents my perfectionism and my now distorted sense of what I consider to be "beautiful".
